In the case of facebook it was created with the [express purpose] of being a website for normalfriends, and twitter was created for narcissist.

Far more often than not trips are used to shitpost, the trip part playing the role merely to let people know who shitposted/trolled them every time. They are almost always troll ID /calling cards, because trolls love getting all the attention they can even if it's hatred. Hence they tend to get leashed up by filters. Even if you don't change your behavior or attitudes at all going from trip to anon, people will very much assume that you are trying to start shit just by the act of posting as a trip due to so many years of trips being nothing but worthless shitposters.

Old time /jp/ user here. I've been here since the board's creation, and yes, over the last couple of days, /jp/ has been different, I think we've seen another influx of new visitors from abroad. It happens every few months, but the board usually recovers to some degree, with the new people either adapting or leaving in disgust.

However, this summer brought some significant changes to /jp/ that the board hasn't been able to shake. It seems that there's a higher prevalence of normalfags posting here, unaware and ignorant of this boards customs.

It is demoralizing and unsettling, to say the least.

I haven't even read this thread since I feel like I've heard this shitty argument before.

-People more often than not behave better when they're held responsible for their actions.

-Many shitposters use identities to build up their reputations.
-Identities make it easier for people to hold grudges.
