The thing is, Naruto is a magnet for idiots who don't even know how to discuss something properly nor did they watch a lot of series to have a better taste. Why is Gaia considered shit? Because most of their threads are about Naruto or Twilight. Anwyay, back when Outlaw aired in the United States some years ago, I was getting into anime. I liked it and so in my mind it's a good anime, one that I've chosen to revisit. As for anime from later or similar dates, there's Samurai Champloo, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sengoku Basara, Darker Than Black, Welcome to the NHK, etc.

I think that's true. /a/ and /jp/, really 4Chan as a whole, seem to learn more towards moe anime, which is something I'm not fond of (ironically my avatar is of Yui).
