Not on /jp/, but I'll return to #kigurumi when I get my new costume. This is my mask.

It's hot after an hour or two and makes me sweat. I have to make the room cold when I kig. It's because I'm wearing a mask, zentai, and costume which is like winter clothes.

In kigurumi, we don't talk under the mask because it's hard to hear and goes against the whole concept of kigurumi. It's not a persona. It's a character and the person inside speaking is out of character. It's the same thing as not wearing a zentai.

Mine has slits I look out of. It's hard to type because I can't feel the keys and can't see as far. Sometimes I have to move the mouse pointer around to find it again. There's also no peripheral vision in a kigurumi mask so you have to turn your head to see to the side, up, or down. Other people have told me their masks don't restrict their vision as much so maybe it's just mine.

One time I ran into the wall. I took off the mask and thought I damaged the paint but the white spot on my nose was just wall paint I could wipe off. FRP is a light, sturdy, and expensive material.

If you stuffed the kigurumi, wouldn't it be similar to a life size doll? You could also put PVC pipe inside as a skeleton and the joint could be 2 zigzag couplings with no cement which would let it have about 210 degrees of arc. A stuffed kigurumi would be a lot more elaborate than a dakimakura.
