I liked Saya more than Phantom simply because
I liked its Lovecraftian setting. Also I think its short length makes it more consistent overall.

>> No.7224634

I thought about trying Django, but isn't it just Good Bad and Ugly plot with three women characters and rape/slutty sex? I have a hard time believing so many people could like a game like that.

Phantom was pretty short too.

>>7224634
It's pretty fun, nothing memorable though

Urobuchi's stuff is depressing.

>I thought about trying Django, but isn't it just Good Bad and Ugly
It heavily pays homage to that, yeah.

>three women characters and rape/slutty sex?
The sex scenes are ridiculous, but there's more to it than that.

>I have a hard time believing so many people could like a game like that.
I liked it for the space/spaghetti western theme and especially the music. Plus the ending was fucking great. I guess it's a hit or miss game for most people since it's just a fun little game which doesn't try too hard. That being said, it's still the best urobuchi VN I've played. Although it's not like Urobuchi has written anything I would call a "masterpiece".

>> No.7224666

>>7224659
Depends on your view of a happy ending, i prefer Gen's endings to endings which are just either sad or happy and only are happy and everyone is happy or sad and everyone is dead or sad, abit offputting.

Saya true end is sad but isn't horribly sad or totally about being sad because they wanted a sad end.

>> No.7224671

>>7224665
>especially the music

The games pretty much all have great music, thats one thing no one can complain about, Can actually play the games with the music on(voices off of course)

>> No.7224685

well one thing is for sure, waifu loli fags won't like django if it gets translated

>> No.7224687

>>7224659
Django has a happy end.
Urobuchi claimed the canon ending of Phantom was the novel one where both Cal and Ein lived so it's a happy one too.

>> No.7224696

>>7224687
I've not played Django because the machine translation extra murdered it, so I'm hoping it gets fan translated.

>> No.7224766

Saya is actually kinda meh.

>> No.7224947

Well yes, I liked Saya the most from the stuff he worked on. I found it to be much more engrossing and satisfying than his other eroges (though I never had the desire to play Vjedogonia so no opinion on that).

>> No.7226924

Agreed, but only because it takes alot from Lovecraft. Urobuchi's special brand of grimdark actually fits in that setting, and the addition of fleshed out characters to the formula only makes it more potent. I won't doubt it's not his best work, but I personally enjoyed it alot.

It also helps that the translation was great quality.
