I liked Saya more than Phantom simply because
I liked its Lovecraftian setting. Also I think its short length makes it more consistent overall.

I thought about trying Django, but isn't it just Good Bad and Ugly plot with three women characters and rape/slutty sex? I have a hard time believing so many people could like a game like that.

The sex scenes are ridiculous, but there's more to it than that.

I liked it for the space/spaghetti western theme and especially the music. Plus the ending was fucking great. I guess it's a hit or miss game for most people since it's just a fun little game which doesn't try too hard. That being said, it's still the best urobuchi VN I've played. Although it's not like Urobuchi has written anything I would call a "masterpiece".

Depends on your view of a happy ending, i prefer Gen's endings to endings which are just either sad or happy and only are happy and everyone is happy or sad and everyone is dead or sad, abit offputting.

Saya true end is sad but isn't horribly sad or totally about being sad because they wanted a sad end.

Saya is actually kinda meh.

Well yes, I liked Saya the most from the stuff he worked on. I found it to be much more engrossing and satisfying than his other eroges (though I never had the desire to play Vjedogonia so no opinion on that).

Agreed, but only because it takes alot from Lovecraft. Urobuchi's special brand of grimdark actually fits in that setting, and the addition of fleshed out characters to the formula only makes it more potent. I won't doubt it's not his best work, but I personally enjoyed it alot.

It also helps that the translation was great quality.
