It is hard to learn coding. And not having other people help, makes it harder.

>> No.7452580

Why would a NEET waste their time making some visual novel when they can instead read the thousands already out? If they want to produce crap and work they wouldn't be a NEET would they?

>> No.7452581

Make a real game instead.

All the girls would be dere dere and nobody but me would like that.

Scripting for a well documented VN engine isn't that hard to learn. Much simpler than actual programming.

>> No.7452592

I want to make a fast paced action game instead. But I'm too lazy to make that too.

>> No.7452593

Because anything I work on will be shit quality. Do you really want an increase in shitty VNs?

What's with the increase of these kinds of threads anyway? Stop trying to make us work. We're NEETs for a reason.

I really want to.
But im lazy and I lose enthusiasm fast, before i even start to learn anything.

>> No.7452596

How many years of practice would you need to surpass the art of typical western VNs anyway? It has always depressed me how completely obvious it is from that art that they're made amateurs, even when compared to doujin eroge.

Because I can't write, draw, compose, or program.

>> No.7452600

Visual Novels are really overrated and if I want to read I would prefer a physical book.

But this is my first time having anything to do with coding and the ilk. It also doesn't help if I want to make an visual novel based on Monster Hunter.

He can still do all of those things, albeit maybe not very well. I have absolutely zero talent in anything.

About 1-2 years would do the trick. Depending on how much time you can devote to it, probably sooner.

>> No.7452617

One of the visual novels I had planned is still being worked it out story wise and I want to improve my art a bit more
on the second one.... well everyone said they would help and I even had a small private forum but they never showed up.

>> No.7452634

I'm an unmotivated, untalented and uninspired sack of crap. On top of that, I have no creativity whatsoever, no drawing skill, and very little knowledge of programming. Even if I did manage to make one, I would be too scared to release it as I am too afraid of the terrible comments and criticism I would get from fellow /jp/edos. I'm so used to giving up on things before getting halfway that I wouldn't even bother.

>> No.7452656

The only thing that is preventing me from making my own by myself is the lack the skill with VN-making programs.

>> No.7452678

Why should i make a VN when i can make a Touhou danmaku MMORPG ?

Imagine all the players fly around, shoot bullets, 1 hit kill, add points to skills to increase bullets...

I would suck so much dick for it, and I wouldn't want to suck a dick ever.

>> No.7452690

Because people who make or read OELVNs would all be better off dead.
