I was thinking about making a thread about it, but I never get to it, so whatever, let me use this thread.

As much as I love Touhou, and as much as there are characters and household that I adore and devote a lot of time and energy too, I can never really seriously see myself as one of those with a "waifu". Why? Because I am just an observer. As much as I know about these characters, as much as I have observed them, it will always just be that; a one-sided relationship, based on observation.

I can't see myself in a relationship with a 2D, because she doesn't know me; she has a family and other who love her and understand her. I don't hate my favorites for this, and I've long come to terms with it; I'm happy as long as they're happy. But I'm just wondering, does anyone else reason like this?

Sorry, but it's far too easy in /jp/. There's a relatively low number of people, but the people who do post are very consistent in their posting. And it's not like it's that much of a bad thing anyways, to sometimes be able to tell who you're talking to from long experiences with them. The ideal of Anonymous is to put that aside when taking their post into consideration, which is always quite possible.

Everyone has a little bit of idiosyncrasy in their posting habits. It can't be helped.

I like to think that I was fairly unrecognizable before I started tripping, but there were a lot of batches of posts over time that you could probably consistently peg as being posted by the same person.

It didn't use to be like this for me. It's a recent development, really. I know I'm being a bit desperate reaching out for friends here but I kind of need that sense of familiarity in my social interactions... besides, /jp/ is like home to me. Why else would I spend all day here when I don't even like it half the time?

This is one of those things I was talking about that need readjustment. I know it bothers some of you and it's also getting a bit to me, honestly.

I gues you can't really say she's my waifu.
But i met her at a cosplay fair.
She was wearing a Hakurei Reimu outfit and after a long night without sleep and drugs she was the first thing (except for my morning coffee) that didn't hurt my eyes.
She was in company of two metaltards. Long-haired beasts without any understanding for hygiene. But after breaking into conversation Reimu and me were quite happy we've met each other.
There was a Touhou meetup some hours later and I had the feeling she'd show up there.
Sitting between a bunch of youtubers and game addicts, pedophile photographers and a 2 meter tall Wriggle with a manly rash on his legs from not disinfecting after shaving i felt like having pretty good chances.
It's a wonderful relationship and I love my Reimu.
I'm never going to need a waifu anymore.
