This thread brings me to the question as to what is japans,for a lack of a better word, obsession with having hair over the forehead? Just about every character has it and those that dont are usually pointed out in a joking matter.

Where as here in the west you are more likely to see delicious exposed foreheads. I am not angry I just wonder why that seems to be the case.

Not just in anime though. From what I gather you see a lot of hair over forehead character because that is how it is in japan. Though I have no experience with it so I could just be pulling this out of my ass.

I am assuming that because almost everyone in japan sports bangs they think that is the norm which is interesting to me.
