Hey /jp/ what's the female character that better incarnates the yandere archetype in a VN?

>> No.7797892

See: Cross Channel for an interesting example of kuudere-yandere

Also highly recommended: Koharu no Hibi (manga)

>> No.7797910

Eris from Eustia

>> No.7797926

There are two charcters that I know of that can do Yandere really well.
-Flandre Scarlet from Touhou
and
-Lyra from Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver

>> No.7797930

>>7797926
Flandre is more like a yangire.

>> No.7797937

>>7797930
>yangire
What?

>> No.7797935

I fucking love Yuno.

>> No.7797942

>>7797930
Yes please, I'm looking for a yandere, that means she must be strongly infatuated with some other character... to the point of total madness. Not just some crazy bitch...

>> No.7797944

>>7797937
yangire

>> No.7797947

>>7797942
Okay, go with Lyra then.

>> No.7797948

>>7797937
Like OP said, yandere must have a "dere" side. If she's just a psycho it's a "yangire".

>> No.7797950

>>7797937
Try looking it up

boiled down definition: Its "yandere" without the "dere".

>> No.7797972

If you don't know what something means just fucking Google it. It's not the twentieth century anymore.

>> No.7797989

>>7797942

In this case I second Koharu no Hibi
You may not enjoy it if bloodshed is an absolute requirement, but what I like is that her nonviolence makes the author come up with all sorts of other creative ways to show how insane she is.

>> No.7797996

>>7797989
That sounds really fascinating, yandere not violent? Oh man

>> No.7798076

>>7797989
I guess I'm sold and I'm going to give it a try. To problem is, as I understand, that it's a manga and not a Visual Novel.

>> No.7798105

Not OP here, but I'm also interested in yandere. I fucking love them. There's a VN called "Yandere" being translated and ヤンデレ彼女のHなせまり方 was released recently (not translated).

>> No.7798124

>>7797989
Speaking of Koharu no Hibi, have any of you found new raws? I need my fi and the last chapter was one hell of a cliffhanger.

>> No.7798136

>>7798124
Some anons in /a/ are translating it. They are at 15, and there's only until the 16th out I think.

Isn't Kotonoha from School Days the ultimate yandere?

I already singed about the virtues of this on another thread, bu I am posting it again, in case people are still interested.

>A while ago, I commented on this H Anime named Vicious, which was made during the 2000. After doing some more research, I found out that it was based on a manga by Kagesaki Yuuna. While her initial work was still immature and had not refined her own style yet, it is perhaps the eponymous story within this book that should call your attention. It is a 3 part story about a young ojousama Angela and her butler John, however, Angela is no angel. While I cannot say it is the best thing to grace this place, I can't help but to like it.

>Enjoy. I know I did. Do not be misguided by the small file size. The raws are clean enough, although a bit aged, since this title was made in the 1998.

She is yandere all right, but only for a brief part.

>> No.7798165

He's not a VN character, but I've yet to see a better yandere than Claude Frollo.

>Koharu no Hibi

Is a great example of yandere. A stalker girl who is just slightly creepy.

Yuno from mirai nikki is more a girl with severe borderline personality disorder.

Thats not how yandere works /a/ lied to you.

Mizusaka Renn from Baldr Force thinks nothing of exploding people's heads if it'll help her find her onii-chan.
Touma Mia from Duel Savior tries to destroy the world to recreate one just for her and the MC.

Yoppi in Tsuyokiss was a pretty impressive yandere

>> No.7798387

>>7798309
funny because the japanese wiki mentions "school days" as the very source of the yandere phenomenon.
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%A4%E3%83%B3%E3%83%87%E3%83%AC

>> No.7798394

>>7798387
Yandere existed before that, it was just the time they coined the term.

>> No.7798422

>>7798387
I was commenting on the random insanity.

Insane does not a yandere make.

>> No.7798440

It's not like there's some strict definition for yandere out there.

As long as you have both the yan and the dere, you're good. The yan portion doesn't necessarily have to include any violence.

>> No.7798458

>>7798422
I wouldn't even classify Kotonoha as a yandere anyway. She only goes after Sekai once. The other times it's killing herself or Makoto, neither of which fit. She's more just insane, and even then, only for a very very brief part of the game.

>> No.7798450

>>7798394
I know and the wiki says that much, but it also says that the yandere "phenomenon" started with school days. Meaning that from that point the archetype gained popularity and begun being used in various other works with an unprecedented frequency.

>> No.7798472

>>7798450
Except that it hasn't? 2003-2005 or so was when that archetype was popular, only people just called them crazy or psychopaths. There are a lot fewer now than then and certain much fewer good ones.

>> No.7798475

>>7798440
It doesn't, but it doesn't exclude that either.
The "yan" part literally means "illness" in this case "mental illness". It can be any kind of mental illness, inclunding psychopatic behaviours.

Yuno from mirai nikki is therefore a very good example of a yandere.

>> No.7798483

>>7798472
Sure okay, anon. I'll trust you. You certainly are more reliable.

>> No.7798508

>>7798483
If you want to persist in ignorance instead of actually looking up information, that's your own prerogative.

>> No.7798805

>>7798309
Yuno is practically the Yandere poster girl. Her possessiveness and craziness exemplify the more extreme end of the archetype.

I will agree that Koharu no Hibi's yandere is great, though, since it shows that a girl can be creepy/crazy/cute and not need to get violent.
