I won't argue with ATR nowadays being border ridiculous (I still like them, but I just can't watch their last video)
However I find that the childiness is less of an issue for Akiradeath as they don't really take themselve seriously. The costumes are purely for entertainment.

Also Akira Satou makes some pretty subtle music sometimes. Check out his other project, Custommummy, for Akiradeath without the screaming and hard kicks. It's pretty cool.

I'm curious about what makes a real genre. I'd argue that as lolicore is identified as a music genre. They are people saying that they produce lolicore, and they are people saying that they listen to lolicore. Lolicore is indeed noise/breakcore/speedcore but most noise/breakcore/speedcore listeners would never listen to lolicore. It's pretty clear to me thus that "lolicore" is useful as a word and therefore should be considered a genre.

Though whether 100% of it is shit is another question.

I guess I just don't understand how all the different artists are associated.

Do individual artists do individual songs and then they would get money from a label like Hardcore Tanoc or whatever to be put on the latest Hardcore Tanoc album, so the label itself pretty much becomes an album name?

I figured there would be one website where I could browse through all kinds of albums from all different doujincore groups that do music for AllKore and OHR but I guess I'm confused how music releasing works.

Funny story though it has its origins from the music DQN produced but misterCQNZR that operates the whole show HATES that term. I remember there was a torrent in /t/ with a DQN album and I posted anon saying "I FUCKING LOVE LOLICORE" and he messaged me on MSN almost having an aneurism

>> No.7877586

To address a few things that have been said:
The past two years these threads have been made without involvement from anyone who runs Allkore, and the overwhelming majority of the comments have been positive.
mydjsobad focuses on importing CDs en masse to sell and bringing artists over for events, so money spent there will benefit artists yes.
Money spent on Allkore items will go straight back into Allkore to fund future CD ventures and other projects.
Think what you want about the music, people here have seemed to enjoy it before so I figured they would again.

>> No.7877593

>>7877581
Well I guess my favorite albums of his are the least lolicore, so take that however you will.

>> No.7877601

>>7877569
For the most part money will go to the label owner, which usually then goes back into producing more CDs. mydjsobad.com is probably the most comprehensive english-language shop, and guhroovy.com is the main japanese one. As far as downloads go, there are a lot of blogs and other sites that should be easy to find.

As far as the whole lolicore argument goes, they way I see it is it's a word that has a use but is misused far more often than it's used correctly; basically I wouldn't consider an artist to be "lolicore" unless they said it OF THEMSELF (and I don't believe we have anyone like that on our lineup). That's just my opinion though.

>Sure if touhou is your thing thats great for you but some of us loathe touhou.

Yes, Gensou Hardstyle is Touhou through and through, but much like the rest of J-Core, most of the artists are just riding ZUN's coattails on the side and using it to pay the bills and have a healthy output of original music. I've heard plenty of good non-remix hardstyle from Japanese artists.

>>7877569

>Drumcorps, venetian snares

I don't know what kind of alternate reality you live in where people haven't heard of Drumcorps and Venetian Snares, and being the modern ambassadors of the genre it's pretty much expected they'll be slightly ahead of the sloppy production and logistics of everyone else. They're really the exception.

While I'm in this thread the bot mentioned annihlvs and leech. This surprises me, do you guys actually listen to power electronics?

Not that I can post in irc but with good reason.

Modem, Fanny, Knifehandchop, etc. Breakcore has the potential to be good but often isn't like every other genre... what is your point?

Breakcore often has an offensive, provocative culture. Offensive and/or absurd song titles and ugly covers are frequently used as an expression of this culture.

That the standard of professionalism you're attributing to Venetian Snares isn't the norm for a breakcore artist and most don't think much of shipping out sloppy DIY releases and pisstakes, and it isn't really worth getting bent out of shape or surprised at.

That wasn't a name I expected in this thread. Jesus, what is it about NTT that draws weeaboos and breakcore kids out of the woodwork?
