Innocent Grey wants vocalists to audition to sing the Kara no Shoujo 2 theme song.

http://www.gungnir.co.jp/innocentgrey/event/v_audition.html

Should I give it a try, /jp/?

>> No.7981266

Oh wow. Why can't they do what everyone else is doing? Just get Rita to do the OP

>> No.7981267

You can do it, Anonymous!

>> No.7981268

Do it and post results.
I hope you have a good singing voice.

>> No.7981273

Yes.

>> No.7981291

I can't sing but I can rip off Seven too if they need a new scenario writer.

Since when was Innocent Key involved in making actual ero content (not just mildly perverted)

I'll never understand why people like white-leveling their promo images...

>>7981320
how would you read small black text over your picture? Not easily for sure

>> No.7981536

Oh, so they're doing this again, huh? Just vocalist or seiyuu? iirc open auditions were how they found Ajisanma (Touko's VA) for Kara no Shojo.

>>7981298
This is just a disclaimer to keep bitches from going "you wanna use my voice in an EROGE?!?! gasp shock I demand compensation" etc. later on.

>> No.7981540

OP here. I was gonna throw something up on Vocaroo and post here, but it seems my recently installed replacement HD doesn't have the mic capability/configuration yet :(

Looks like they want applicants to sing Ruri no Tori as the audition song (plus one more of your own choosing). Guess I'll go off and practice now.

>> No.7981551

Is your accent that good?
Because unless you're near motherlanguage fluency you're basically just making a joke entry.
If that's alright with you that's good and I hope you have fun doing it, but I wouldn't expect much.

Agreed, but that's not hard and fast. Remember that that Himeka chick managed to land a record contract, even though her accent in all the interviews of her I've ever seen is far from great.

I've been studying for nearly ten years now and I can imitate the standard accent pretty well IMO. (About the best gauge is that I am more and more frequently getting the WTF YOU'RE A GAIJIN?!? response from people I've talked to on the phone/intercom when they see me for the first time.)

I know that my chances aren't great, even assuming that my voice is good enough to pass and my paper application doesn't get chucked with a "lol no" the moment they see my photos. But why not take that chance?

I was wondering what kind of shitstorm would go down in this thread if I made it, but that hasn't been the case. Thanks for being unexpectedly encouraging, /jp/. I'll post again if there are any interesting developments or when I eventually fail/succeed.

I was just trying to avoid too much enthusiasm from someone who, for all I knew, might as well have been singing just animu OPs with no grasp of japanese.
If even native speakers can't tell the difference you should definitely go for it, best of luck!

>> No.7981729

Oh yeah, and while I'm at it, suggest possible audition songs if you want.

I'm a second soprano (mid-range, not ultra high); my Japanese karaoke standbys (in my comfortable vocal range) are Ringo Shiina, UA, and Porno Graffitti. Among game vocalists I can sing Eiko Shimamiya's stuff pretty comfortably.

>> No.7981790

I'm pleasantly surprised there's no "get out of /jp/" posts, considering the
>女性のみ
requirement.
Well, good luck. I don't quite know what second piece would make a good impression, so I can't help you there, though.

OP here; you should totally go for it too! I need to reread the forms again to be sure, but I don't think Japanese nationality/residence was one of the entry requirements.

The forms say you need to be okay with making appearances in case of interviews or stage events.

They'd probably want a resident.

And I think the second round of auditions requires recording at a studio.

>>7983997
I emailed them about it, in Japanese of course, I'll tell you what the answer is. I'm also pretty sure that they may actually be interested in a non-national to help support the tourist industry.

I don't see how you can blame that guy, most "feminists" aren't actually feminists.

Feminists are a good thing. "Feminists" should be corralled and expatriated for being too stupid to be citizens.
