There is quite a lot of dialog you need to trigger before you can go north (you also need to do the goblin quest so you can access that area) and confront the bad guy.

I'm not sure which quests you're thinking of.
The game has slimes, wyverns, goblins, orcs and minotaurs.

There is a marriage thing you can do with the goblin tribe, is that the one you mean?
It so far allows you to get a goblin husband and make family with him.
You can also "convince" Rin and Ashley to join the tribe.
But after that is where it ends.
The king has some dialog about how their tribe is weak and how they dream of conquest and that they need Nanako and friends help to do it.
Which suggests that there is more planned but not yet implemented.

Then you need to change your system locale or use applocale and probably reinstall/reextract.
The game uses japanese filenames and if your computer can't interpret them correctly then you'll get an error.

Just follow the story and you'll encounter them, which is pretty easy now that the main quest (or at least the first part) is translated.
Do a few quests for the adventurer guild until your level and guild ranking rises and you'll eventually be offered a special assignment (that's where the main quest starts).
The game actually has pretty varied gameplay: escort missions, stealth missions (pic related) and more.

Just giving yourself 999 of all the stats with the debug tool and powering through to a specific H-event and you'll be missing out on a lot of content.

I'm using Firefox, no problems here. I don't think locale would have anything to do with it, but for what it's worth I've got my encoding set to auto-detect Japanese, and run in UTF-8 by default (View > Character Encoding).

Hmm... well I've only tested with my own computer so I don't know 100% how their filter works.
If I open it with FF with US locale I get redirected to ask, I open with any European locale I get the error page and if I use jap locale I get to the webpage.
Works perfectly in other browers I've tried (IE and opera).

I went back and did a little more testing. It seems certain useragents are causing redirections. This is all without a proxy, of course.

IE6/XP, IE9/W7, Firefox 3.6.23/Linux, Opera 11.01/W7 all seem to be working fine, but the moment I put on the Googlebot, Bingbot, Baiduspider+ useragents it redirects me. It's possible they've blacklisted whatever particular platform/browser version combo you're on, or you're being mistaken for a search engine. Those seem to be the only ones I get to redirect me.

If I set my HTTP_LANGUAGE_ACCEPT header to en-US, I can access the text board, and trying to access the imgbbs or other links directs me to ask.com. If I set it to ja-JP, I can still access the text board, but the imgbbs and other links direct me to the previously mentioned error page. Sending no header (like a search spider would do) simply directs me to ask.com for any link.

So it's clear that they're reading the browser's claimed language, and both Japanese and English have access to the text board, but only Japanese to the local error page. I can only assume they're also looking at IP addresses, redirecting any foreign ones with filthy gaijin encoding to ask.com and assuming anyone using glorious moonspeak with a foreign IP is actually in Japan, but on a proxy, so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt and show them the error page and tell them to take it off.

imageboard needs a proxy, there you can take peak at what the artists are working on.
One of it's largest contributors is gaijinb who writes in broken English.
I believe he is one of the primary reasons why the art has a relatively uniform look even if there are many different artists contributing.
He touches up and fixes most of the sprites.
Also it seems the artists generally just draw whatever they find hot and if an event programmer needs that piece of art then that's just a bonus, this explains why there is so much unused art.
In short, the project doesn't have very strict direction.

Since I put out the patch, I've only done the Capital front gate, the capital adventurer's guild, and about half of the Public Office / Government Building. Those are two of the four biggest areas in the capital though, so that's good.

Well I'm experience a glitch.

Right when I'm in The Blood Brothers Hideout and I've finished mapping the place, Ashley shows up as if Nanako knows her and tells her to follow her. The game then goes to a black screen. Music of the stage still plays, but it never loads.

You can get a lot of cash early playing as a slut, but there's not a whole lot to spend it on at that point, and I finished the Onsen Town plot until the translation ended completely pure and still with around 20000 gold.

There's some spots especially later on where you have to be careful to avoid sex, but it doesn't really make much difference.

Last time I played through the quest I had Nanako take the mind ray and because her desire was low and purity was high she was able to suppress the urges.

The main story quest that will be the hardest to avoid getting defiled in will be the Rin rescue quest.

You probley need to be level 15 or around there. Start grinding, or killing the goblin king or chief's ass should give enough exp to instantly get one or more levels.

Hes just a regular goblin except hes much faster, stronger and doesn't try to rape you.

A good place to grind will be north of town in a map that has a bunch of goblins around trees. This map the goblins will mysteriously give you more exp then usual and they will respawn after a few seconds.

The best place to grind is a hidden cave which you can reach from a concealed entrance in the northeast corner of the map you get to by going one screen west of the minotaur maze, then keeping going north and wading through the water.

You need to be not pregnant and have no companions to jump down the ledges in the cave, but halfway through, there's a green goblin whose death will trigger a Metal Slime worth 300XP to appear. You can leave by jumping back up the ledges and reenter to kill the slime as much as you want.
