If so, does anyone have any experience with the Dollfie Plus model? I was looking into buying one because it is a much smaller, as well as cheaper doll and as it will be my first doll, I would really like some opinions. Also, what sort of eyes should I purchase to get an "anime" look from it? Thank you!

It's not a hard and fast rule. but if it makes you happy I can quantify it further, DD owners have less interest in resin dolls than resin doll owners have in DD.

Plain and simple:
A huge bulk of DD owners are because DD is marketed to Anime fans.
Resin has an entirely different target market, and without a halo product like DD to pull us in most of us probably wouldn't have given resin a second look.

Sure there's crossover but those are the facts.

I like the resin BJD's styled after anime characters, like Shinku and Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden, or Victorique from Gosick. The others are hit and miss. I mostly like DD's, but I appreciate the others, even if they're not what I like.

I find that I like dolls much better when meeting them in person, rather than just through pictures. I hope to attend a doll meetup some day.

Say, can Dollfie Dreams (and dynamite types) be assembled straight from parts, or do you have to buy the base body to get the joints and assembly pieces and stuff? I figure I could just buy the head and the chest piece and later add parts from there. I don't want to buy on credit and I can save up for it in 2 weeks, but I don't feel like waiting anymore. I also need to get that duffel bag so I can store her discretely, since I don't want my roommate asking me about it. I might even up pad locking the bag. I'm horrible but it can not be helped.

You'll need to buy the body, the frame itself is not available as a part or whole.

Also, if you try to buy the parts separately, torso, hips, arms, legs, hands and feet will cost $210 before trying to hunt down a frame.

A whole body with the frame costs $231. If you think about shipping for the individual parts separately and possible deputy fees, not to mention the trouble of finding a frame, a $231 charge which you'll (hopefully) have no problem paying off is a lot cheaper.

I'm not going to lie. My plan is to put an onahole (dollho type VDD) and dollfie dream dynamite together. I'd figure I could start with the chest piece and the onahole. Guess not. I think I'm going with my original plan, to buy a cheast piece and the onahole as a start. Except later on I will buy the base body as well. I may not be a NEET but I am still a geek atypical from the normals. I do participate in normal hobbies and activities like golf, exercise and TV but conversations related to those topics can mostly be had only with other guys.
