I get those all the time at performance parties and my performance skill sucks (only 73). NPCs only seem to throw stuff in their inventory so the only thing I can think of is that when they spawned NPCs for the party, they spawned a NPC with that in its inventory.

It's like other NPC adventurers trading for your items. Too bad those items are usually shit... Of course, right after I take them out, I put them on sale immediately so it doesn't really matter I guess.

Anyways, shops are definitely the way to go in the long run if you dungeon grind. If you're doing nothing but perform... well, you're going to run out of items to sell real fast since you can't sell furniture in there. Also stolen items sell like horse feces (but no duh, the stolen tag decreases the value).

The only advise I really have to give is:
Put a little cat sister in there as shopkeeper, identify all your items, drop them and then GTFO. The longer you stay in there the more chances the people in there have a chance of doing something stupid... like drinking a Molotov on top of your items OR fucking summoning monsters. I'm somewhat annoyed at my shop because I was in there playing an instrument once (doesn't work very well, there are lots of people but none of them have any money on them but you can get legendary performances anyway to improve your skill) and one of the fuckers summoned a blue dragon. I raped it of course, but it breathed a couple times and broke some of my stuff I put in the center. I wouldn't really care too much EXCEPT THE DAMN FUCKING DRAGON DROPPED A 300.00LB SAFE THAT I CAN'T FUCKING MOVE. Bah. And no, the safe can not be sold.

You can sell the rings/amulets/boots/cloaks from performing, though. Its actually most of what is in my shop. And I was lucky enough to get an amulet with max crit chance on it out of a trade, so its worth it just for another roll of the rng that you can set and forget about.

Sorry if this response is late but I was eating dinner so...

Anyways, considering the fact that my loli cat sis sells anywhere from 10-25 items a day, a couple rings/amulets/cloaks from performance quest really doesn't cut it. You really need to dungeon crawl A LOT to keep the damn thing supplied with stuff to sell. I took a break from dungeon crawling for a month in game and the shop ran out of stuff to sell within the first 5 days.

Also, if you have the money to buy the deed and you're afraid of losing the money, just buy it and leave the deed at home. Don't build the shop yet until you have some more spare capital AND a decent shopkeeper (read: little cat sister). You start out being able to drop 10 (TEN) items in the shop for sale. It costs 2k to upgrade to 20 items max, 3k to upgrade to 30 items, 4k to upgrade to 40 items, etc... I have it at 130 items maximum which is sorta ok. If you DON'T upgrade the maximum item space, then you'll have to stay near your shop to constantly keep it stocked. And the shop costs 5k maintenance per month so you need to be making more than 5k a month (well, that part shouldn't really be a big deal if you have things to sell). Another advantage to just buying the deed and leaving it at home is the fact that you can get blessing water to bless your deed and lower the maintenance (4,250 a month).

Ether disease is a 20 stage disease. It will slowly progress NO MATTER WHAT. Etherwind merely speeds up the progress of that disease (at a really fucking fast rate). The longer you stay out in the etherwind, the faster the disease progresses. With a vindale cloak, etherwind won't speed up the progress of that disease BUT the disease is still progressing (at its normally slow rate). Getting the ether disease is not a 100% thing either. It's just that after every stage, the chance to roll an ether disease gets bigger.

Probably not. I believe the cloak only protects you from rate change of etherwind and nothing else. Ether equipment, shining hedgehogs, wisps would probably still increase your ether corruption counter even with the vindale cloak on.

Or you could do what I do (well, did do, before I got the fairy that spits seeds out when you feed her). Wait until the food rots and if it doesn't generate seeds, cook the rotten food and then put it up for sale in your shop (Vendors do NOT buy rotten food but ppl will buy rotten food from your shop, the one you get by reading the deed of shop). Generates seeds for gardening, practices cooking, and makes money. Nothing goes to waste.
