How many of you are interested in Japanese music? I've been getting into it a lot lately after discovering the likes of world's end girlfriend, Kashiwa Daisuke, te and so on, and was wondering if you guys had any good recommendations to share. Are there any good albums expected out over June/July?

I would so buy that if the ps4 looked like the NES.

with that list, I recommend you find Serph, N-qia, Yuki Murata, Matryoshka, Yasushi Yoshida, Takahiro Kido and so forth

Same. It's the only thing that could save it at this point.

Although it's just a shame that even if they did release one, it would be covered in dust in no time.

Lots of good taste here.

I'd also recommend School Food Punishment, Special Others, RADWIMPS, toe, downy, Coaltar of the Deepers, Jinn, Godspeed, LITE, sgt., and especially Mutyumu. Most of these are post-rock or shoegaze.

Thanks, really appreciate it!

Just to clarify, I'm not specifically looking for stuff in the post-rock genre (awesome as it is) so feel free to add favorites from other genres as well - if it helps, I've also liked A-Bee, ent, Eri Nobuchika, capsule...

Currently listening to japanese psychedelic music.

Oh and also most of the Kodo pieces for training.

But can anyone recommend me mystic sounding music, maybe about the different kamis?

Magical Power Mako comes to mind.
If you're up for some psychedelic rock, Strawberry Path, Flied Egg, and Speed, Glue & Shinki are good.

For reference then, School Food Punishment are rock with female vocals, moving towards electro-rock in their latest albums. Special Others, RADWIMPS and Jinn are rock groups.
Other good rock groups: Kimura Kaela, The Pillows, Miki Furukawa, GENERAL HEAD MOUNTAIN, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, toddle, Theory of Relativity.
Some more post-rock: 3nd, Mirror.

binaria, SAITONE, arcane, SHIKI, Lush Rush, Rei Harakami, Sound Sepher, TERANOID/kors k, Ryu* and Nujabes are various electronic artists.
Choucho and chata are both soft, kind of electro-pop groups with female vocals.
Clammbon is a kind of jazzy pop group.
More ambient: Anoice, Sawako.
miyauchi yuri mixes electronic music with acoustic guitar, which sounds pretty nice.

Shoujo Byou and Sound Horizon are both groups that do concept albums, mixing rock with orchestras and sound effects. SH are much bigger budget and the composer of them is Revo (He did Bravely Default's OST), whereas Shoujo Byou are comparitively a lot smaller and have a more anime feel to them. They're both great, though.
Shikata Akiko is an amazing singer and composer with a magical voice and insane range. She does a lot of stuff but largely orchestral work with really complex and fantastic vocal tracks. Definitely check her out.

ReSound WAVE is a great pianist.
Other piano: Yuki Murata, TAMusic, Marasy.

I also really like KyaryPamyuPamyu and Perfume.

That's all I can think to list at the moment.
