The Fourth Amendment also still stands, yet the PATRIOT Act is still in effect and the NSA is spying on literally everyone connected to the internet. The US constitution doesn't mean a thing anymore.

As for the law regarding CP in the US, it's technically illegal but not prosecuted. Quoting Wikipedia on how CP is not protected by the First Amendment:
>Pornography is generally protected speech, unless it is obscene, as the Supreme Court of the United States held in 1973 in Miller v. California.
>Child pornography is also not protected by the First Amendment, but importantly, for different reasons. In 1982 the Supreme Court held in New York v. Ferber that child pornography, even if not obscene, is not protected speech. The court gave a number of justifications why child pornography should not be protected, including that the government has a compelling interest in safeguarding the physical and psychological well being of minors.

(Note that this reasoning could also apply for loli if judges consider it harmful even if it weren't considered CP. But it actually counts as CP:)

Again quoting Wikipedia:
>In response to the demise of the CPPA, on April 30, 2003 President George W. Bush signed into law the PROTECT Act of 2003 (also known as the Amber Alert Law).
>The law enacted 18 U.S.C. § 1466A, which criminalizes material that has "a visual depiction of any kind, including a drawing, cartoon, sculpture or painting" that "depicts a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and is obscene" or "depicts an image that is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in ... sexual intercourse ... and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value".
and
>The court stated that "it is not a required element of any offense under this section that the minor depicted actually exists."

Though if we're speaking of the US, it doesn't matter if what you're doing is actually illegal as long as someone more powerful than you wants to destroy you.

I just finished Amane's route in Grisaia. That was some really bad pacing. You start her route, have sex for an hour, do a flashback for six hours, and then the rest of the route takes another hour and Makina's the only character who shows up again after the flashback.
Michiru's route was also pretty disappointing with how they had every opportunity to say it was a fabrication but seriously went for the other personality being the dead girl's soul in her body, and then that pseudo-harem end. Christ.

Is the common route the only standout part of this or what?

I think people that compare Amane route to Lord of the Flies probably never even read Lord of the Flies. If anything the kids problems are exactly the opposite of those faced in that book. In LotF their needs are well provided for, and their problems come from one another. In Amane route they mostly cooperate alright with a few hiccups here and there, but their main problem is that they're all fucking starving to death and were dropped in a poor desolate little pit of hell. Even the final drop into being murderous cannibals was out of desperation due to being starved most of the way out of their minds.

The only real similarity was that both involve kids being stranded somewhere, but otherwise it's not a very good comparison.
