That's most likely the steam train SL Ban'etsu Monogatari. Currently in service with engine C57-180.
Arrives Saturdays and Sundays as well as on Holidays at 13:31, departs at 15:25.
Afaik that train is the primary reason that camera was installed in the first place.

I've been watching a couple of train journeys on YT and I've noticed a couple of things

Japanese trains seem incredibly noisy for electric trains. Do they not have any sound proofing at all? They are as noisy as as the old 80s/90s trains in the UK.

Does every station has it's own little theme tune? I always thought the nice little tune they play as the train is leaving in this station was the same for every station, or at least every station on the line, I had no idea they all had their own tune.

I don't get my fasnication with cams like this, I spent a long time 2 years ago I think on this cam.
I was NEET then and had gone a long time without sleep.
I ended up fairly delirious while playing Yume Nikki and listening to sound of the trains.

Its incredibly soothing but ... I can't think of the words for it, way too soothing that its unnerving and scary.

The signal boards on top of the platforms are off. There is no activity. The train in the middle track seems to have been there a while and it doesn't look like it is moving anytime soon.

Not really too difficult to get them, you have to download the "NTTLIVE.xap" file on each stream page and open it up in 7zip. Then open the "media_load.asx" file in notepad and copy the url from there.

i can't remember how long the video is, maybe around 20 minutes, but I stood over this street in Hiroshima in the early morning and observed the taxis dropping off the drunks and all that. I was more trying to record the sunrise with the drunkard ambient sounds in the background but it became apparent that the sun wasn't rising in where I wanted it to - the focus kept changing in this shot (not 100% fixed frame) so I don't know if you'll find it very interesting.

I'm in Hakodate right now though, maybe I'll get up early and record the morning markets setting up as the town wakes up.

On a side note, I actually don't like viewing it at night ... it seems a bit dead and also the quality is bad / low at night.

Morning is beautiful and encourages me to wake up early too.
