I resubbed to FFXIV last month but I have hardly even played it, I have a few 50 classes and I think the game is somewhat fun then, but leveling the new class I want to play is so incredibly dull. I'm going to transfer to a JP server but I'm still doing some research on which one I want. I don't like that the most popular ones either have large english speaking communities (tonberry) or are legacy servers which I can't join.

I've been looking at Elder Scrolls Online, despite not ever having played any of their games, nor any western MMOs. The class system looks very interesting. It's what I wanted FFXIV to be like, coincidentally. It's expensive, despite not having a subscription fee, and it doesn't have a trial.

Someone tell me of a lesser known mmo. Has to be cute anime style. No gross realistic or western cartoon styles. No gender locked classes either (unless it's only a few, like how bard/dancer is in RO)and you have to be able to change your height.

I can't tolerate anything but mabinogi nowadays and I already tried everything new that came out before.

I find Dota isn't really cute like you say, but it's 'autistically satisfying', if that makes sense; there's a certain pleasure in last hitting, or coordinating a gank, and even working as a team. It's one of the few places where I don't get social anxiety screwing with me that much because I feel so right at home. I usually play with a group of online friends from before it got bad and we get on well together and enjoy working together. I usually find myself playing in a captain like role as a support.

I like FFXIV a lot. The people on /vg/ are really disgusting though so stay off Balmung. I've pretty much drank the koolaid for at least all of this next expansion. I figure I'll wait on Black Desert's US beta just to play with the character creator. Other than that there's nothing I'm too interested in.

Tera really could have been cool, but apparently still people leash every single trash mob between bosses in dungeons, and it seems like PVP is just a clusterfuck.

MNK is fun, but Greased Lightning can be an infuriating mechanic.
SCH is more fun than WHM and so long as your tank isn't undergeared for most content you can spend a pretty significant amount of time DPSing making things faster thanks to your Fairy being a large part of your healing.

Depends really. I don't feel really limited by it too much in FCOB (Still don't have a t13 kill so take my input with a grain of salt) and in dungeons even when it drops off between pulls it feels like it makes sense since I can't really be that amazing.

SCH is probably more fun than anything, healing while DPSing is even fun at very low levels.

PSO2 opened my eyes to mmo genre... now im not able to play all these WoW-clones where im standing and watching all these skill icons how they are filling-up for another use.

Only bad thing about PSO2 is how different it is from other mmo games, so its little hard to get into it. and btw, I think it has better character customization then Aion... Its not called phashion star online 2 without reason... you can customize your loli as you want.

It's a pretty unfortunate trend, games seem to do one thing really well and everything else is just bland. WoW has really great raid content but now everything else is purely casualized mobage shit. Tera was really fun to just play, but all mobs in dungeons are skippable making it just a boring grind. Also the few bosses I tanked made it feel like I was mostly pointless, since everyone could just kite the boss. FFXIV has a great content release schedule but once they're off it (like right now) you can really feel that it doesn't have a very good lifetime.

Raiding is a real strange thing. It's this kind of weird leftover thing from EQ and WoW devs were super into EQ so they kept it, though it rarely translated into good experiences. Part of the fun in EQ was that things were contested and when you got the kill you took it away from other people, it made things special, it made even losing an accomplishment because getting there was the goal. Now with instancing it almost feels kind a kind of choreographed thing. I will say I like the raids in FFXIV but I don't know if that's because I've got a kind of casual guild who really enjoys the fights and I'm experiencing it vicariously, if the production value just makes experiencing them fun, or if it's just that they're more or less simple and that appeals to me.

Every single time, X-LEGEND keep making a new game even if they were just working on a new one at the time, instead of focusing on a single one and prolonging it in a natural way that goes somewhere and doesn't waste everyone's time and money, they just announced a new fucking game yet again, for the eleventh time, making AK irrelevant.

It works for games like Ragnarok perfectly, people crave for nostalgia or just simply feel interested because they all know and learn about this one game that everyone talks about, so what the fuck is their problem exactly?

I can understand people missed earlier games by the company and/or feel curious about their first real attempt at a 3D game with third person perspectives and stuff. What I don't understand is why people condone this kind of marketing ploy they are abusing, why do they have to keep making new games all the time and making previous ones irrelevant....

They work, but it's not magic. I've tried WTFast and PingZapper, currently using the former.With it I get around 200 ping, down from over 300. It's caused occasional connectivity issues, but I'll take it for making the game somewhat playable.

If it's playable without one, I wouldn't bother, unless you have money to waste.
