Spring

The season when yukkuris that successfully hibernated start to poke out from their holes.

One of them even showed up in my garden.

"om nom nom, so happy!", it said with its idiotic voice.

I can't say that I put my heart and soul into them, but the vegetables that I put *some* effort into growing have now been eaten and scattered about.

I was very angry so I decided to teach it a lesson.

Of course, that sort of nonsense just goes in one ear and out the other.

It tried to sound smart flaunting its vocabulary, but after all it's just yukkuri speak, nothing more than animal sounds.

I lit the cigarette that was in my mouth the whole time, pointed it towards little Marisa and slowly moved it closer.

it's generally accepted across various stories that yukkuri are treated like cockroaches/rats unless they're pets.

their natural habitat is in forests by themselves, which is all very well and good, but the ones who don't want to eat bugs and leaves forever tend to try to invade either farmlands or urban environments.

it's a problem in cities especially because they tend to clutter up the environment by begging on the sidewalk (often singing, which is always described as being ear-splittingly annoying), getting squashed underfoot/on roads, ripping open trashbags in alleyways for food, shitting everywhere in public places and parks, all while selfishly demanding people give them sweets or take them in as pets.

and of course, the worst offense is when they try to invade homes directly, often killing actual pet yukkuri they find when the homeowner isn't around.

so even though they have a small degree of intelligence, they're basically seen as vermin for the most part.

Not to mention the more recent-ish development of the House Yu, which are much smaller yukkuri that are basically roaches. Large ones won't get much bigger than a golf ball and, unlike normal yukkuri, they lay dozens or in some stories hundreds of eggs as opposed to birthing/stalk birthing 2-4 at a time.

Family-friendly and non-violent stories are pretty rare now, as the last remnants of the content-producing fandom deal almost exclusively in abuse.

Heart/chibichan chimpout.

So I was in the park in the snow and there were was 1 Reimu and 1 Alice and 2 Reimu kos. I spammed them with the 999 heart/birth food and at first things were going ok. They started rapidly giving birth and there were oh chibichans everywhere. Next, put clothes on a Reimu and make it eat a bunch of hearts and then spam the shit out of the rest of them (about 2 dozen kos and the Reimu and Alice) with the hearts. Suddenly they all go berserk and start killing eachother.

What went wrong?

Sparkling means they've gone beyond an usual nicehead, silver meaning silver badge and gold... you get the idea. Yeah, the Scold option can be spammed and in most cases you'll see their Point value suddenly jump up and start rocketing higher. They'll also stop farting constantly, and speech patterns can change.

The dosu is actually another Sakuya, but yes, she is indeed the silver haired one's child. I fed her a bunch of cakes right after she was born. It was surreal seeing the mother call a dosu chibi chan, but she stopped doing it after I reentered the room.

Works. I've noticed that leaving them alone for a while (petting helps) leads to them reaching an intermediate state, where they repeat "give me back" and the sky nonsense. This may be related to their physical fitness. I had a Reimu and two Patches, one smaller and one larger. The Reimu reached the intermediate state by herself, followed by the big Patche. The little one needed to be petted a lot but might have done it by herself, if given enough time. When impregnated in this state, they don't say anything during birth, but their children are normal. The Reimu eventually managed to become normal, but reverted to full yukkuritis after being hit twice - hitting probably has the same effect as scolding, but causes enough physical damage that it'll kill the yukkuri first.

Worst mistake I've done, I just saw the Sakuya fly into the sky, wondering how that happened, when I saw the myon soil itself and start flying into the sky.

takumi is still making comics at a normal pace, while big.g's is glacial. There's other artists still around on pxiv and I know OYP gets posts fairly often. Translation is iffy, though, and if a comic is kanji-heavy odds are it'll never be in English.

Bluesnow's code is amazing.

I guess since that koyu is in bad shape the game thinks you're trying to revive it (since if you feed a dead Yukkuri it'll fart out an alive copy).
