He has off and on been making height comments in interviews when the topic comes up.
I remember some anon posting a collection of all the comments on character height ZUN made, with references, but I didn't bother to save a copy of that at the time.
However, that post produced autism like image related, which matched up roughly with ZUN's comments. Make of it what you want, it's about as canon as OP's pixel counting.
