It is the year 2188.
The next Touhou is about to be released at summer comiket.
ZUN remains alive in the life support mechanisms he confined himself into to ensure the continuation of the series.
After his liver failing, ZUN gave up alcohol until his liver transplant arrived. This one failed on him too after a few years, and thus ZUN has given up alcohol completely. A noticeable drop in quality occurs to his projects.
Many are complaining about the new "score blast" mechanic in the demo, clearing all the bullets in the screen in exchange for resetting your score to zero.
Fans have noticed that the stage 2 theme sounds exactly like "彼岸帰航　～ Riverside View". However, the trumpets were changed to violins.
Rumors circulate about Mima's first windows appearance in the next game, after a fan reportedly drew a convincing trace of the cover character's silhouette. The fan has failed to explain why Mima has four legs and butterfly wings, only stating that "I saw the funny wizard hat and just let my mind flow".
60% of doujin material is still played by EoSD, PCB, and IN characters. And Koishi, for some weird reason.

Tasofro made another fighting game where two characters fight and prepare food for a feast at the same time. It's exclusively on the playstation 40, but they are allegedly planning an updated rerelease for linux.

What if ZUN loves Mima like we do (he wrote her in 5 games after all), but he loves her so much that he can't put her back in until he's absolutely sure it's the best reappearance of all time? If this is true then every game since EoSD (except the spinoffs since ZUN wouldn't dare bring Mima there) is just a scrapped idea of Mima's return salvaged into whatever it is now. If this is true, ZUN has been trying to bring Mima back for so long, and here we are thinking that he's forgotten about her or trolling us!

Strange feels. I remember playing the games like crazy when I was in 8th grade and UFO had just released. All the remixes and artwork made it all amazing and they're still being produced by the thousands.
