Which official Touhou manga do you feel like is the worst and which is the best?

The best one is SSiB easily, considering it actually had a central engaging plotline. That and having some danmaku fights outside the games was a treat, even if the fights themselves were lopsided.

The second best would be Wild and Horned Hermit. It has, an extremely pleasant art style as of late, some good humor here and there (mostly at the expense of Reimu) and has quite a lot of guest stars from the games. The lighter atmosphere that's pretty faithful of the games is another plus. Not to mention it also has Kasen as the protagonist, who balances Reimu out, personality-wise, and provides mysteries on her own. And having Sanae and Komachi as the support cast certainly helps too.

The worst ones? The fairy mangas, I suppose. Most of the chapters could be painlessly turned doujin and no canon importance would be lost. Which is also why they are quite boring. At least Hirasaka's art style became incredibly pleasant to the eyes and Clownpiece joined the fray, so VFiS is a notch above the earlier ones.

FS also turned into somewhat of a chore to read. Opting to force Kosuzu and Mamizou down our throats and preference for one-time demonic youkai instead of the characters from the games killed my excitement for it. The final arc was quite promising and could have earned the manga some major points, but sadly it ended up badly rushed and anticlimatic.

I really like the innocent and cute atmosphere of the fairy manga, it's nice light world building, despite the fact fairies aren't very sweet creatures when they start talking about human domination and bringing chaos at random.

For the worst, I think it's SSiB, it's kinda rough since it's one of the earliest works. Doesn't help the fact I don't really like its artstyle. I still enjoyed it though, so I'd rather use "least liked" more than "worst".

Overall, I really like the Touhou written works, they're very cozy and it's fun seeing random episodes of the daily lives of 2hu characters, even if "nothing happens".

Worst is easily SSiB. Best is hard to say. WaHH, perhaps, or perhaps Sangetsusei (fairies), mainly the latest part which is just superb. I would've said FS was the best once upon a time but it didn't live up to its full potential.

SSiB is the worst. The story is okay and Touhou-ish. Problem is that Aki Eda can't draw anything except romance. The entire danmaku battle fell flat.

SSiB is the worst. It tries but misses on just about everything from pacing to art to action. The intrigue, politics and backstabbing is interesting but once again it as well as the battles would have been better showcased in more capable hands than Aki "Three Faces" Eda.

FS is the best. It successfully mixes the episodic arcs most Touhou literature uses and the best of SSiB with its intrigue. This formula simply works for ZUN rather than try to concoct a long story arc like in SSiB, opting for the thread of Kosuzu's downfall hanging over the manga instead. It also explores and expands on an area largely ignored with the Human Village and youkai politics. It only failed in its ambition, with a rushed ending which failed to deliver a real Kosuzu turn or any real consequences in the end. I didn't really mind, though.

General fairies manga is a close 2nd. Followed by Inaba of the etc.

WaHH simply suffers too much from its release schedule. It's just a drag at this point waiting for major information chapters or the bomb to drop. I will say its art is the best after a shaky start, though.

I would put SSIB and Fairies manga in the same tier since enjoyed them all at different times, SSIB is probably just there because it was my first touhou manga.
WaHH comes after that. Its enjoyable but sometimes throws too much japanese walls of texts I dont understand. Pretty cute when Sanae is in there though.
Inaba manga bores me to death and I forget how to read 4koma every time I try to pick it up again.

Aside from the ending, FS was really good and expanded more on the more serious sides of Gensokyo. If it wasn't rushed or there were more consequences or hints (2 chapters more or so) then it would probably be the best.

WaHH has more going on (Kasen doesn't seem to like the barrier very much or how certain people go by things) and expands more on the mechanics and lore of the world. With the introduction of Okina I feel that it may go places soon, hope it concludes better than FS at least. Generally it feels like the sister of FS.

SSiB has the best plot, I think the art may be a little lacking (relatively to FS or later WaHH), it's less SoL/mystery and more of a streamlined plot and I hope that we get something similar again. Basically a manga dedicated to a single incident or the like.

Fairies manga are cute, but they don't expand too much on the setting. Fun to read though.

Gensokyo gets new residents and life moves on. I think the only things that really made waves were the introduction of the Moriya shrine and how EET stopped being isolationist. Both contribute to Gensokyo as a whole regularly and very significantly.

Mokou literally runs over to Eientei in SSiB because she's terrified of the idea of Kaguya leaving. Inabas depiction of their "rivalry" makes complete sense for their characters especially when Reisen invites Mokou to EET for a moon viewing on behalf of Kaguya in ULiL.

While I totally agree with this, calling Mokou a "tsundere" in that sense goes much too far. Inaba only stretches her character into traditional tsundere for comedic purposes.
