Ok, lets try this again.
Me and some guys have formed a little team and want to do a decent doujin animation, the problem being that we don't have a writer in our team, so we're lacking script. There's been a lot of discussion on what kind of story we should do, but we haven't decided on anything yet. Really, we're open to anything. Although it'd be nice if we could keep into consideration the limitations of our team when we're doing the script. A school setting would be the easiest to work on, but that can be talked over to.

So, we're looking for more people interested in working together with us and having some fun while working on this. If everyone helps a little I'm sure we can deliver something worth watching.
We're looking for a writer, but if you have any other skill that you think could help then you're more than welcome too.
lets discuss what kind of show would be worth working on, and lets see if we can find someone to write it. This is kind of an open project. The more help we get the faster and better this will be.

here is our board, but let's try to keep the discussion in this thread while it lasts, but please, do apply in the board if you're interested.

Given that a script is probably about 5% of the effort of such a project, you should figure out what you want to draw, at least a little.

You'll find lots of writers who'll concoct a lot of stuff on your request, so set some guidelines.

We could do something in that style, but I don't think Dan Kim would be interested.

I think it's best to leave the story open to possibilities when making this kind of threads. I've find in my previous experiences that when you suggest a possible story you just get a lot of replies saying that your plot is shit. That being said, a highschool setting would be the easiest to work on probably. there wouldn't be any fighting, so the animation wouldn't be that complicated, and you wouldn't have to design as many thing as you would if it was a magical setting. The best choices would be highschool romance, slice of life, comedy, etc.

It should clearly be a loli-heavy fanime.

Matter of fact, fuck the plot. Just make a 2D porn/hentai with lolis.

>> No.1812863

Dude, make a VN or doujinshi first. It's way easier.

You need to walk before you can run.

>> No.1812880

>>1812863
We're considering making a VN, and we're actually open to that. It's just that we don't currently have a writer, and doing a VN is more writing heavy on the team than to do an animation. If anyone wants to provide a full script for a VN, I'm all for it, we'd take care of drawing, composing and putting it together. It's just that I can't really say "hey, come here and do all the work for us and then I'd throw in one or to images".

>> No.1812906

How about an adaptation of some popular VN?

>The more help we get the faster and better this will be.

Large teams are hard to manage for small time projects. And I don't see why OP can't multitask and do the script at the same time.

I'm not a good writer and I'm not a native english speaker, so it'd sound strange. I'll probably be forced to write the script if we don't find anyone to do it though.

I am a writer, but I'd rather work on my own one-person projects with a lesser chance of dissipating.

>> No.1813019

>>1812987
Most people can't write for shit but think they can and it ruins entire projects. It doesn't matter how pretty your art is if the story is shit. Where as on the other hand, if you have an awesome story then people will be more accepting of crappy art.

This.

Exactly. As I said at the beginning of the thread, we're aiming for something decent at the least. I'm an artist, not a writer. I'd rather stick to what I know. I'll have my hands full with the visual department.

>> No.1813054

I'm really interested in doing a project like this, I've had a few stories for things like visual novels that have been floating around for a little while, but I don't have any visual artistic talent. Writing is the only thing I've ever been good at, so I'll sign up at the forum if I feel I can contribute. I may not be able to however, so I'm sorry if I disappoint you.

>> No.1813057

I always wanted to see various pantheons on a high school setting, since it's fun to fit them into stereotypical roles (I think we can all agree that Hera is tsundere younger sister while Zeus is the token pervert, and I like the idea of a crippled loli genius Hephaestus on a wheelchair and eccentric best friend Loki. ) Amongst the ideas I found fun were the Abrahamic prophets being the alumni of the school and forming a superhero spoof (where Mohammad's power is permanent invisibility to not offend Muslim audience. ) and the Principal of the school being unseen to all (including the teachers, which are the elder generation of gods, Osiris, Odin etc. ) yet rumored to be omnipotent and omniscient.

Well we'd be really grateful if you do decide to join. In any case, thanks for the interest

I'm a writer/composer, and I'm currently forming a visual novel team as well. I'd love to help you guys. Maybe we could come with a split project with the two teams in a near future.

Sounds great. We could collaborate if you want. Specially if you're lacking artist, we can cover that. I think i also have a programmer. Not sure if you'd need that though.

>> No.1813166

>>1813147
Nah, we've got a main artist, a programmer and a photoshop demi-god. But the idea of doing a doujin animation is just amazing. I mean, it really could work.

>> No.1813182

>>1813166
Well, maybe we could collaborate on a sort of OVA for the same VN you guys are doing. Anything would be ok with us, and having a bit of extra help in the project would be really welcomed.

Take some fucking script classes. Faggots. It doesn't matter how well you write, you need to know how to do the special writing (script) for an animation.
