Well, this did come out in America on PS2. I think it was censored slightly though in terms of blood and such. But I can't think of any other reason as to why they would bother to translate the PC version. Oh well, I guess I'll just find out myself.

People didn't want the ps2 version.
They wanted the PC version.
Because you can play it on your PC, which it was made for in the first place.

Also the company that ported it to the ps2 made some unnecessary graphical changes like replacing sprites with shitty 3d models of said object.
