How may type of Magicians in Touhou? So far we got :

>Marisa The Mage, focuses on firepower and overwhelming her opponent
>Alice The Puppeteer, focuses on zoning and analyzing her opponent weakness with puppets
>Patchouli The Librarian, focuses on elemental casting and spamming different element attacks
>Byakuren The Enhancer, focuses on buffing physical body and brutal melee combat

What about Alchemist, Warlock, Sorcerer, Enchantress, Necromancer, etc.?

No. Alchemy is literally magical chemistry and requires knowledge in chemical reactions and creation and can blend into enchantment and medicine.

Seiga isn't a classic necromancer in the western sense either.

I'll also be one when I go to Gensokyo. I want to meet Alice and become her friend and maybe learn dollmaking and magical puppetry from her. But I don't want to copy her, so maybe I'll do something like crafting a big cool golem that I can control with puppet strings like she does.

This will be the post to end this thread because I have autism.
The first magician of the series might be Elis, who has a star wand. Her them is called "Magic Mirror" as well. She's also probably a vampire as she can turn into a bat. As to white type of magician she might be is a mystery, although she does give off the appearance of a mahou shoujo. Since she's a Makai demon, let's just say she's a dark/black magician.
The second magician of the series is actually probably Rika. Why? She's somehow able to create lifeforms. It was stated that she made all the bakebake and Evil Eye Σ certainly looks organic. She's possibly skilled in animancy.
Marisa is the obvious next one, with her being a typical witch and all. ZUN describes her as using flashy "western-style" magic. Her magic is often based on light and cosmic bodies. There really isn't a classification for this so the little terms there are include "astrologic magcian" and "stellar magician". Also, she's somewhat resistant to poisons/toxins.
Mima has a wizard look, with the hat/staff/robe and all. She's been called a "sorceress". She also has the cosmic theme with her, as she can shoot star danmaku, has a sun on her hat, and has a moon-tipped staff.
Ellen is a typical mahou shoujo. She's also biologically immortal.
Yumemi and Chiyuri use magic and claim that magic is just science that hasn't been discovered yet. Rikako is the opposite in that she believes that science is just a better form of magic. I guess "scientist" really is a form of magician in Gensokyo.
Yuuka uses magic multiple times in the endings of Mystic Square and vows to look for the "strongest" magic. She also possesses some sort of wand or baton. Regular "magician" is applicable here I suppose.
Alice is a magical puppeteer and could also be considered a type of "animancer" like Rika. EX Alice and Windows Alice both base their magic on colors. EX Alice is heavy on elemental magic too, displaying pyromancy and cryomancy.
Yuki's title is "black witch" and she is a pyromancer. Mai's title is "white witch" and she's a cryomancer (she can also take on a more demonic form).
Shinki is implied to be flase god, or demiurge. Perhaps she is also extremely skilled in life-giving magic (animancer). Her theme "Legendary Illusion", comes to mind.
Patchouli is an elemental magician. She specifically uses Chinese-style elemental magic called wu xing.
Flan is implied to be a mahou shoujo.
Eirin knows arcane magic, specifically relating to medicine and astrology. "Healer" but x100.
Medicine is an animated doll, so she's magic by nature. Her control over poison has no name, perhaps "Toxomancer" or "Venomancer"?
Ichirin is skilled at manipulating nyuudou, particularly Unzan. "Nyuudou tamer"?
Byakuren is a "sealed great magician", is a Buddhist monk, and has superhuman abilities. Her Buddhist magic comes from the sutra scroll she possesses (I'm sure she's memorized some incantations as well). So, "sutra chanter"?
Seiga is skilled in Taoist magic, including forms of necromancy and divination. She can also pass through walls with her magic chisel. Her status as a hermit brings her between human and god.
Futo also knows Taoist magic, is a shikaisen (low level hermit), and can manipulate feng shui.
Miko, again, is skilled in Taoist magic and has some superhuman abilities.
Hecatia (Hecate) is the patron goddess of magic and sorcery, and is the origin of it according to the Greeks.
Narumi is described as a jizo turned magician. She is skilled in animancy as she can create life forms such as "bullet golems".
Beyond that, Akyuu and Kosuzu both have abilities that are magic in nature but don't make them magicians, rather "magic humans".
Maribel is reffered to as a magician (song title: Mary the Magician) and has the ability to see boundaries.
