I'm hoping to start reading the Touhou manga, which series should I start with? Forbidden Scrollery or Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red?

Doesn't matter, although Bohemian Archive should be a lot easier to swallow and get hooked further while giving you some good canon base.

As for mangas, I'd start with picking Wild and Horned Hermit if you're not a youkai lore geek. Maybe Silent Sinner in Blue if you're craving for some danmaku fights.

I recall seeing a guide for this a very long time ago, but it was also very ambiguous. I remember SSiB being recommended early on but apparently there are plenty of ways to start out. I’d like to see that guide again even if it is pointless. I’ve always been afraid of jumping in at the wrong point.
