EVen if fit or somewhat muscular, you must not attract too much attention.
Radiating shit will prompt an opponent to throw kitchen sinks or use guns instead of thinking he can take you.

THIS IS MY OPINION
I HOPE YOU ALL READ AND LEARN


Effective fighting systems (not in any particular order)

Army CQC (VERY basic and VERY effective techniques such as kicking the groin and eye gouges; knife fighting; blunt weapons fighting; firearms etc.
and uses some techniques from traditional martial arts)

Krav maga (basically the same as above)

MMA (can be effective.can be defeated with basic CQC tactics, like eye gouging)

Muay Thay (best kicks around IMHO)

Karate (Best punch around IMHO, kicks and defense sucks)

AIkido (has LOTS of unusable techniques but the usable ones are really usable. IF, and it is a big "IF" trained correctly can be effective)

Jiu jitsu (effective. against ONE opponent. also has lots of unusable techniques and very good usable ones)

the rest can be cool and enjoyable, but not very effective. But is still cool and enjoyable.
I myself practice Kendo even though its not effective. then again I also do my other stuff above mentioned...
