I have a question. Danmaku is a nonlethal way that youkai and humans can settle there differences without it causing undue collateral damage to Gensokyo. It also gives them so exercise so that they don't get weak and outside demons do't get too strong and come and fuck them over, plus it's pretty. My question is while that may be very sensible for youkai in gensokyo to uphold the rules of danmaku why is it that they uphold it even fighting outside forces like the underground demons and Lunarians? Lunarians and the underground folks have no reason to follow the rules of danmaku and if it's really a war I don't see why they'd use non lethal ways. SO whats the deal, why do lunarians follow the rules of danmaku and such?
