Question for subs2srs users I have always used subs2srs in a hit or miss fashion with the anime I download sometimes not rendering images on subs2srs, just gives me audio. Today I tried doing Mirai Nikki but all the torrents are giving me this problem so I thought I'd ask is there a simple fix to this? Don't know much about encoding and compatibility but it would be cooler if I NEVER had this problem instead of sometimes. Thanks.

like anything in life its about a proper balance i think. you're imagining the extremes (reddit-tier for example) and i'm imagining someone who's balanced about it. personally i didn't start reading more regularly until i engaged with people who made it clear to me that i would get better and really thank myself later if i did. because it was hard in the beginning for me as well, and i couldn't really see how the struggle was improving me at first.

the feelings aspect came from the encouragement i felt by witnessing people who were previously in the same situation as i was, but making progress past it. that was my springboard to keep pursuing the goal and get into it more (including developing more discipline/consistency and investing more time). and then, witnessing my own improvement along the way added more to those pleasant feelings of encouragement and possibility, which continue to play a role in my experience to this day. although moreso in the background as i continue to do what now just feels normal to me.

so that's the kind of thing i mean. it doesn't have to be over-reliance on just feelings. that's just one ingredient of a bigger formula, which can enrich the experience. those are just my thoughts on it. don't intend to convince you though you seem pretty convinced of your standpoint that's fine. just blurbing in case it resonates with anyone else.
