I was wondering how important pitch accent is in everyday Japanese. I know that it can differentiate a few homophones, but given context, is it important to use correct pitch accent?

For example:
飴が欲しい would mean that you want candy. But you wouldn't say 雨が欲しい if you want it to rain.

Not really. It gives you a vague idea of common words used in Japanese and of the most basic grammar patterns, not too differently from a textbook like Genki/Minna no Nihongo or Tae Kim’s Guide, but it really doesn’t just automatically grant you the ability to immediately understand Japanese, so expect to just have to spend a lot of thinking about the meaning of words (you might notice that words may sometimes correspond in usage to the English translations provided for them in bilingual dictionaries, but may also sometimes have oddly different ways of being used), occasionally revisiting grammar-related reference works or videos, and might notice there might be some sentences that at a certain point might seem like a fuzzy image at a certain point, but maybe after a long enough of a while (possibly months or even a year) actually start to make sense.

Oh I definitely don't expect to learn to read and understand much from just a sentence/vocab deck. But right now if I tried to read even an nhk easy article, I would have to look up literally every word. I'm hoping to use a sentence/vocab deck to get a very rudimentary foundation, so that I only have to look up maybe 50% of the words in every sentence I attempt reading from real text. Then through sentence mining, hopefully I start having to look up fewer and fewer things.

Basically right now, to begin reading real text for natives is a vertical cliff face.

How the fuck do you read kanjis
Like, sure shit like 来森 it's pretty obvious, but 姿 makes no sense, it's just 次 and 女 what kind of mental gymnastics do you have to perform to guess that next and woman together could form appearance, what do you guys do in these case? Because there's been a lot of them, I know that as long as I continue learning (singular? I don't know how they are called) normal kanjis I will eventually catch up the reading of other kanjis that are "combinations" But like I say, some are kinda obvious to read, isn't even helpful to read for me is just easier to remember the word by the combination of the kanjis, I'm just illiterate so learning them are easier than remembering the kanjis and the meanings when I know the meaning since the start, but when shit like this happen it doesn't make much sense, which is weird because they are supposed to work like it does, most of them do, but from time to time I find these ones that are actually hard to guess, or the problem is just my mindset that I'm taking the reading too literal?

I have some impossible motivation why im learning Japanese.

First of all, I really love to read Japanese light novel. And thats the reason why I want to learn it with my sister that also become a Mangala.

Unfortunately, what I hear is that impossible. Even other people said that every author need to memorize more that 2k kanji and use grammar properly. And this statement, make my motivation shattered. Right now, IM still learning how to write my novel in Japanese and what is look like. I also buy some light novel on Bookwalker in Japanese dub, but I think it was wasteful because I don't know single words (I mean, I can understand but not understanding what they are talking.)

Also, I have uncle that he is Japanese. I want to communicate him. Unfortunately, I don't know his phone number.

And Im really struggle right now because IM really focused to writing more that learning Japanese. I don't have time to learn Japanese, if im learn Japanese, my skill in writing will lost. If im keep writing, my Japanese skill will also lost.

That's what the vocab is for. You don't learn a bunch of readings in isolation. You learn 1 - 3 key vocab per kanji, and they only include kanji you've learned in previous entries. By 2300, you've seen each kanji used with every relevant reading multiple times. When you finish RTK, you only have keywords, not even general meanings, and have to acquire all the readings separately, which in the long run is less efficient and more frustrating.

Two years of Japanese is not anywhere near enough to be able to understand Wikipedia. I mean, I can just sound out the katakana words, and look for any kanji that I can understand to get general points of the meaning. And at that point, it's just about whether I can understand the meaning of the kanji, and its pronunciation doesn't matter. And I can basically treat most of the hiragana mostly as spaces separating the kanji and katakana. Most of the grammar and sentence structure is too advanced at this level.

Im started learning the MIA Tango N5 deck a few weeks ago and I really need a lot of time to finish my daily reviews. I learn 10 new cards per day and I need really a long time to hammer them into my head, aproximatly 2 hours I think. So a lot of sources suggest to reduce time in Anki but I really have no clue how, yeah I could reduce the amount of new cards, but then it would feel like forever to finish N5 and it would feel like I wont make progress anymore.

well if i'm reading it right he tells you to learn the kanji in rtk and you take 2-3 of the most frequently used readings for a kanji and look at the words that show up

then pick the most frequently used word for each reading and learn them
ig you use a keyword like in rtk instead of the longer meanings in kklc

Half way through Tae Kim and it's getting to a point where I struggle to understand the examples. I understand the grammar points talked about in a vacuum but when he uses them in a sentence, I'm not as reliably getting the correct meaning out of them. Do I push through with being able to decipher whatever percentage of the examples I can (with the assumption that the concepts will be made clearer/solidify themselves when I begin reading native material) or is it worth the time to do some reviews?

That's fair. I know Tae Kim's is mostly meant to get you exposed to a lot of the grammar points and that you're not supposed to really master them, but it's gotten to a point where I'm stumbling enough that it made me want to ask about it. I'll check out the resources from the reply above you for sure. As for reading, I do think I kinda wanna finish the guide before diving in just because I know I'm likely to not actually go back and finish it once (in my mind) 'graduating' to dedicated reading. Which I guess isn't the worst since things that I didn't learn would hopefully be introduced to me as I read more. Either way, I'm rambling.
