I can see your problem. Getting your waifu into the right clothes you want might be a little tricky, but using a figurine with changeable clothes or a dolls where you can make your own, makes it a whole lot easier.

As with all things, Alcohol can be used as a solution. Take her out for a nice dinner and make sure she gets plenty of wine. Take her home tipsy, and keep her drinking from your stores (assuming you have some, if not go buy beer). When she's drunk enough, get her to do it.

Ask her to do the full-armor Seiba, so she doesn't think you want it for sex. Just work your way through costumes, until she's done something that's significantly more revealing/sexy (synonyms? You decide, Anon!) than Saber's house-clothes, and don't do anything while she's wearing it. This should convince her that you care more about how well she could do the costume than having sex with her in it.

Then she'll do the costume, and you just have to get a few drinks in her while she's in-costume, then you get a little frisky. With luck, she'll think it's more related to your current mood than the costume (especially if you took her far enough down the line of sexy cosplay).

It's true that a large amount of cosplayers are normal friends. These people mainly cosplay for social reasons. And most of the single cosplayers go to cons to party/hang out with other people and to get laid. Every thread in /cgl/ confirms this.
