Another mahjong thread? How exciting.

>> No.2649761

Shut up. It's a perfectly fine and fun way to play. And yes, I do say pon dramatically every time.

Another thread about that Scrabble game you guys are always playing?

I know. Scrabble is totally a better game.

People that whine about ponning/toitois are the same people that whine about rushing in RTS games.

I meant people thinking im going for a toi toi when i have a dai san gen.

Well, constantly poning isn't a very good strategy. Unless you have a few dora or you pull some Akagi shit by kaning afterwards and getting dora 4 or 8 or something. Otherwise, enjoy your 2000-3000 point hands.

yeah scrabble acually takes intelligence not just dumb luck.

>> No.2649831

I can't even UNDERSTAND the verbs you people use.

The only thing Mahjong ever will be to me is a memory game.

Ponning without discretion, yeah, not a great thing to be doing.

But if you're in the lead and want to keep control of the table, or just want to get a new hand since your current one sucks, calling can be a great option.

Riichi doesen't turn every hand into solid gold, either.

It can be good if you're already in the lead and want to quickly cycle through dealers.

As much as I like mangan and the like, toi toi is still my favourite hand. It's the "YES YES YES YES" sensation and just makes me giddy.

Mahjong? I liked it better when it was called Candyland.

Once I think I saw fanart of Lord Licorice raping Princess Lolly.

>> No.2649883

hmm. I probably keep my hands closed more often than I should. I just like taking a gamble on the reverse dora, even though it almost never pans out.

See, that's why you don't call kans if someone else is in riichi and you're still two away. Shit, people.

Lol. I can imagine the guy rolling his eyes after hearing all those pons.

Candyland is the best board game in existence.
