I started learning moonspeak about 2 months ago using ajatt, but after getting to 1650 out of the 2048 kanji in Heising, I fell off for about 3 weeks.

The only reason I want to learn is of course to play eroge and read light novels. I just can't bring myself to suck it up though... Has anyone else ever just hit a wall when trying to learn japanese hopefully not as early as mine

It seems very logical to me. It's just listening to and reading the language for several months. The only weird thing about it is the SRS, but other than that it's just immersion, nothing special.

Oh well, I take it this is thread not meant for this time or place. Good night /jp/

I've tried learning Japanese on 4 occasions and quit every time. The furthest I made it was to the 300 kanji mark with heisig, but I got lazy and started doing less and less a day until I just quit. I regret it a lot.

i try to learn jap and quit the first day of every try

not a big deal, its not like i need to know it

>> No.2933735

If you haven't learned grammar yet, don't use Heisig. If you learn grammar, you can use rikiachan and dictionaries to read stuff, but if all you know is kanji (and even then, you only know 1, possibly incorrect meaning) you will not be able to understand anything and give up.

If you know the basic grammar and can read 1650 kanji, start reading eroge/manga and learning the remaining kanji from them
