Equal Rites was published in 1987.
Eskarina was a flying loli witch who lived in a post-modern, magical land.
Pratchett invented Touhou.

It doesn't surprise me that you don't read much.

We will now use this thread to discuss discworld novels.

Sure. I'm reading through them now, but this is my favourite one so far.

Come to think of it, Esk would probably be the closest thing in the Discworld to a Touhou, given that normally only men get fireball-slingling. Or those modern witches emerging in the Tiffany books who use Magick with a "k".

On another note, old Reimu = Granny Weatherwax, old Marisa = Nanny Ogg.

What about the weeaboo DnD one?

>> No.3011810

Damn it, /jp/, now I'll have to go to the library to re-read some discworld novels.

>> No.3011950

The one-shot books are the best, Small Gods and Pyramids are much better than the books about Rincewind or the witches or whoever. Though the Vimes books come close.

>> No.3013137

In the past 3.5 years, I've seen many threads about Pratchett on 4chan, and not one bad comment. The man is an exception, in the universal sense.

Also, Death RAGEing about the crown in Reaper Man was absolutely awesome.

>> No.3013194

Rincewind is the best protagonist, hands down.
Even better than Death and the Watchmen.

To answer the OP's question, play Radiant Silvergun.

Do this thing. Radiant Silvergun, do play it.

Radiant Silvergun.
