Come to think of it, Esk would probably be the closest thing in the Discworld to a Touhou, given that normally only men get fireball-slingling. Or those modern witches emerging in the Tiffany books who use Magick with a "k".

The one-shot books are the best, Small Gods and Pyramids are much better than the books about Rincewind or the witches or whoever. Though the Vimes books come close.

In the past 3.5 years, I've seen many threads about Pratchett on 4chan, and not one bad comment. The man is an exception, in the universal sense.

Also, Death RAGEing about the crown in Reaper Man was absolutely awesome.

Also check out TWilight refrAIN, RefRain ~ Prism Memories, Sonic Ironstorm Fatal Attack, and Demolition Gunner. Strikers 1945 isn't a bullet hell game, but it will rape you hard.
