Hadn't heard of this song before. I want to like it but yeah I kinda don't. Liked the animation and art. Their performance wasn't bad at all and I don't think the song itself is that bad. It just seems like a bad song to use for a collab. I understand why probably Kiara picked this song but I don't think it worked too well. (Also not horribly.) Kiara's voice works well with this. Mori's voice was also fitting enough for the parts she sung. About 75% of it is Kiara singing though. Even the parts where you would think they would sing together are just Kiara. If you listen really carefully, she actually did sing in what is approximately the same number of sections as Kiara and was even in the duets but the mixing and harmonization was ass to the point that not only did Kiara overpower Calli but you cann't even make Calli out in most of the duet sections.
I don't know if this is because they were rushing to get it out as soon as possible and the mixer got fucked over because of it and/or they couldn't redo parts. But someone clearly either didn't mix with the original song in mind or this song was meant to favor Kiara.
Either way, if a fan were to get hold of the BGM and individual vocal parts they could probably make it sound 100x better if they know what their doing

I was reading the general and someone brought up a point that deadbeats would be okay with Mori taking two weeks off and be happy about it.
I think this is definitely an exaggeration, I would miss our boy's content for sure, but I also do feel like I would be okay with it more so than I think teammates or chums, or whatever, would be.
I think deadbeats are aware that Mori does literally stream less than the rest of her genmates, even though I also feel like there's not a lack of content comparatively to others.

I was and I'm starting to not be. I dealt with September and her streams getting derailed because she was overwhelmed by the support, I could forgive that because she went from nobody to somebody practically overnight. I dealt with October and her taking a week off to work on freelance shit, I forgave that because I assumed she would learn her lesson and not do it again, which in hindsight was stupid of me considering she's going to go and do it again now. I dealt with November and her not releasing any music whatsoever because the arrange was out of her hands, only to find out that she didn't even record her vocal for it until recently. December was almost the first time where I could say she had a perfect month, and then she went and botched it right at the finish line.

Every month feels like two steps forward and followed by one huge step back. It's infuriating. All of her problems have such easy solutions and it's as if she goes out of her way to just not fix them, if not outright make them worse. Every time she gets down on herself and talks about how she knows X is a problem I have to resist the urge to roll my eyes because X, whatever X is, has been a problem since she first debuted and yet she hasn't taken any steps to correct it. Part of the reason why I've been frequenting these threads is because I've become tired of the way the global treats content. I've become tired of constantly thinking about when the next stream is going to be, constantly judging, constantly going into the thread and checking it, constantly posting and reading posts about vtubers, constantly having to be "informed" about what happened in every single stream, every tweet, and so on and on.

It wasn't healthy for me, and I think there's others for whom it isn't healthy either. Like I said in one of these threads before, the global has an "always keep it going" mentality which is something I've seen in generals before. It leads to people being constantly confrontational or extreme. It's part of the bane of being in an (overwhelmingly) anonymous imageboard wherein every individual, somehow, has to answer to be on the same level of everyone else combined when it comes to what they know about a topic.

I suspect there's plenty of people in the global that got into vtubers mostly with EN, and there's also plenty of people there who don't know how to use 4chan as something that isn't a chat room, to paraphrase moot. Of course this is assumption on my part, there ought to be plenty of people who aren't like that; but even still, it doesn't mean they will act upon it, or that they can. In my case, like I said, I've gotten tired of all that. There was a time when I followed one or two smaller vtubers, and I caught their streams spontaneously. I didn't care to discuss them anywhere. I didn't have expectations of what a vtuber is or should be and I just naturally enjoyed their content. I didn't really get into their lives, I didn't care to. I didn't have to care about all the terms and concepts that I've learned since coming to /jp/, or identifying myself as part of X fanbase.

That's not to say Mori isn't important to me. She means more to me than most people have in my life. But I like her because she I enjoyed her when I first saw her; I didn't get into Mori because I was looking into the next vtuber. hololive didn't get me into Mori; Mori got me into hololive. I didn't get into her expecting or wanting it to absorb my life; if anything, I'd like to get the hell away from this place as fast as possible, like everyone always says they do. But I've just grown tired of keeping up the "hype", because originally it wasn't what got me here. I'd rather have things happen as they will, spontaneously, as they once did.

Technically yes,
I think it's within everyone's ability to be forgiving about something when provided with ample apology or justification unless they're a narcissist, asshole, or schizo.
Until this year Mori was only able to stream and making music in her off-time. There's also the fact that she's more of an artist & musician than a streamer and was overworking herself to make general content and do art/music projects as a Hololive talent.
These points were oftentimes taken into account when justifying procrastination, breaks, tiredness, skipped streams, etc.

Not the other guy but this seems like a fair complaint. Give it a couple of weeks however. Her scythe swinging is over now so she doesn't have any excuses to underperform anymore. I don't personally mind too much but I don't want to see our boy underperforming either. Give it some time. It's still to early to tell for sure if it was lack of time or consistent character flaws. Even though there might be some hints that it might be the latter. We'll see. I still believe in our boy, despite her flaws.

At least two times now we had streams forcibly canceled/rescheduled due to TakaMori related content.
It's obvious that her "scythe swinging" job has been taking up most of her time and is very exhausting for her.
She made a song talking about how she's getting overworked and is tired all the time
She talked about how she was spending less time making art and music than she was streaming and that it was burning her out.

In my opinion, she couldn't start making any fixes until she quit her "scythe swinging job", despite the domino effect created by the recent TakaMori stream I think she's has been made some great improvements this week alone.

I'm frustrated too, but really she just started full time, so she now has to learn to properly balance her roommates activities with Mori's and self care. combined with the usual holidays shit and the planned "new years reset" I'm not screaming mad, I expected a stream or two to slip.
My hope for this coming week, now that she has new equipment, and new visuals and such she will start fresh and hit her stride finally. Hopefully.

I am fully aware that I am unreasonable and selfish.

I don't want Mori to try to please the "say the line, monkey" crowd because it hurts me to see my oshi being degraded like that, even though I realize I can just skip the parts I don't like.

That's about it. I am an idolfag, unironic and unapologetic. Fuck whoever is not and their peer pressure. If it's insane then I don't care about being sane. I'm not taking my meds. Because my reeeing doesn't belong on other venues. I am not her manager. I am not her friend. It's not my role to "deal with it" at all, let alone "directly".
