I think mine is Servants of Harvest Wish.

Though, Fantastic Danmaku Festival (1 and 2) are pretty amazing.

Touhou Luna Nights should count. It was a nice game, specially if you like EoSD stuff and pic related. You can find it on Steam, but there should be a link somewhere else

There's so many fangames, it's really hard to choose...
Recently I played Hollow Song of Bird and I was pleasently surprised by it since I remember years ago a lot of danmaku fangames were kind of shit, but this one had the polish of an official game. General Set is very cool and I love her/him(?).
But I've also spent a lot of time playing Touhou Diablo Treasure Hunter G, it's very replayable.
Also I spent too much time with those weird Yukkuri games, both the Java one and the Android one, so they probably count as favorites?

Same here, GoS is easily one of my favorite games ever but I don't feel as strongly about DoD or NoR.
In terms of danmaku fangames, I don't have much experience with them. I'm pretty sure the last one I tried is still Concealed the Conclusion.

I remember arguing with "primaries" about "secondary" content.
The moment you start theorycrafting is the moment it is no longer primary. You come up with your own story which, by their logic, is secondary.

Yes it's your loss but no one really cares if you don't dig into it. Especially in a fangame thread no one cares if you only like mainline games.
