It's definitely easier this season due to rank changes, ie you're matching with players that are closer to your rank once you're in diamond, not just being fodder for master/ pred teams once you're dia3. From just watching Astel's grind to masters this split, you still face a lot of cheaters who can just ruin your rp gains.

There's good reason why there's less than 1% of ranked players at masters/ pred, but this season might show an overall increase in master ranked players due to the ranked changes.
