When it comes to vertically-inclined bubbles like that, I would suggest not caring about keeping it in the border too much since it makes the text kinda hard to read.
Also for the first Megu bubble, while the original text goes inside, I think a much safer method would be putting it outside like pic. It's still legible mind, just look a bit cramped.

Yeah, centre the text in the bubbles. And split up the text more between conjoined bubbles like on the left bubble here. It'll be hard at first but it'll come easily with practice.

Someone up the thread sug-
gested wrapping text/having line breaks but another technique is you can force your big long english words right through the bubble like top example. Or even better is feel free to shrink the fonts a bunch as long as they're still readable, see the bottom example although it's really shit. In fact both these examples are shit and I'm sorry but do take a look.

Anyways typesetting is hard, I should know. You're doing god's work, keep it up. Now go centre those bubbles like a pro.

And here, I always found this guide useful for typesetting. Don't be afraid to shrink your fonts a little as long as they're readable. Lots of doujin typesetters do this, but they also have the luxury of xbox hueg scans so even small fonts compared to the image are quite large and readable.

Thank you. It's funny how I've never thought about any of this when I read scanlated manga.
So far, I've tried to mostly match the font size in the original, but I can see why this generally wouldn't be feasible. I still tried sticking to that for the new version of this image, since it seemed feasible.

Some reflections and thoughts:
- It turned out well for Chimata's bubble in the first panel, probably because the text generally fits with good margins, and only the last word (where the bubble has narrowed) pokes out.
- Hypenating let me put the "let me explain" part centered in its own vertical bubble in panel 2, which looks nice.
- However, the second part of the same bubble has almost every word barely fit or spill out slightly.
- The white border around the text in Megumu's bubble on panel 4 just barely intrudes on the edges of the bubble. I think it was better without this white border, but I wanted to try it to see if it'd look less cramped. Not a good idea.
- There are a few other "OK" bubbles that are still cramped compared to the "ero otoko" example, so I'll probably reduce the font size across the board.
- It's a bit unfortunate that I covered up parts of the question mark. I'll play around with moving that text further away to see how I can move it while keeping the connection to the "mother bubble" clear.

I intend to fix up some of these issues (tomorrow), but I thought it might be instructive to post the current attempt.

Yeah! Her final is really pretty, too. And I kinda like her first spell, after giving it some thought: not as an example of good danmaku, but because a certain amount of "why is this even a spell?" jank gives the fight some character. The horseshoe symbols probably have some meaning, too.

- For text going outside the bubble, you could use different font to set them apart; admittedly I probably should've picked a better example. Augie seems to be the most common one I've seen used, but it's not a hard and fast rule
- You don't have to fill the bubble too much. The "I'm glad you noticed" could be done with two lines without ruining much, if anything
- Also yes a couple could use some size reducing
