Don't be so hard on yourself, anon. I'm sure that that you're underestimating your abilities and yourself. You could try to pick up a new skill and who knows, maybe you can excel in it! Kogasa isn't that good at surprising people but she's a good blacksmith and she's good with kids.

Another thing you could do is start exercising if you don't already. I find that running is cathartic whenever I'm feeling down. It's hard at first but you have to remember that even a little progress is better than no progress.

I love Kurenai. I like how she's easygoing and doesn't need to prove anything and just manages to stay chill, friendly and down to earth while living with a bunch of crazy monsters like the Scarlets and Sakuya. I also have a soft spot for comic relief characters and I like how Misuzu plays that role both in doujins and official manga.

I love how dorky she is despite playing the role of a "perfect" maid. I know the game dialog is rather limited, so that weirder side of her doesn't get shown as much besides in print media. There's some moments in SSiB where she talks over others and they give her a wtf look and something about that is just amusing.
Though I also like the more sarcastic side of her in the danmaku games but most characters are like that anyway.
I adore the way she cares for Remilia, like she goes out of her way to play games with her and pick out teas she may like when she doesn't technically have to do any of it.
Also maids are cool!
