I've wondered the same thing.
Since it's an innate ability, I assume she can do so at will, but at the cost of requiring some level of focus.
I think it would be possible, but time would resume once she's asleep, assuming she could go to sleep in the first place, so it wouldn't make a difference.

Tangentially related, I had a bit of a weird dream.
It involved drawing blood with a knife, a small knife it was either right or obtuse, the point couldn't have been more than 30 degrees. black hilt. edge along the broad side.
It doesn't seem like anything, but the strange part is that it hurt. It was a dream, but it hurt. The cold blade, the way it slit across the finger, the way it stung for a bit, and holding my thumb to stop the bleeding.
The only problem is that the process was done out of order. It wasn't needed until later, but when the end of the process had come, I volunteered to do it again since the wound had healed, but that's where it ended. I assume he had used his own blood, but I don't know.
I asked the reasoning, but kind of answered it myself like a dumbass to further the small talk.

Funnily enough, it was about handling alcohol even though I don't drink myself. Maybe it's just my mind recalling things from the day. I don't know. I wouldn't think much of it if my thumb didn't hurt in the same place as the cut.

Strangely enough, the day went sort of how it went in the dream.
I won't get into the details, but it made me realize that the dream happened from different perspectives.

Truly strange; living an entire day twice. Once in a dream, again in reality. Everything fell into place. There's one piece left, but I have a vague idea of what it might be about.
