Actually, that's a very interesting question, and amazingly enough the answer is no. I have never "inadvertently revealed" my interests, but I have gotten packages full of import crap at work and I have set up figures on my desk in my cubicle at times because I simply don't give a flying fuck. That's not inadvertent though.
I suppose out in public at restaurants, events, etc. I try to be well-dressed and cleaned up and I don't generally talk about my hobbies if I'm not specifically asked about them. I chat about cute import games and other "so moe I'm gonna die" shit with a few of the guys at work that have similar power levels, but again that's not really revealing anything inadvertently.

Only one strange moment I lived through. Usually I have a Rin Clayz fig and another non-provoking fig standing besides my display (could go through as normal videogame figs), the rest of the figs are either hidden or in a corner not directly visible to the typical quick-time visitor. So the one time I had forgotten to put away a Haruhi fig on my desk, the fucking seifuku fig with the finger-pointan pose. Not really that embarassing but still very much awkward. I was in the shower when a relative came in, brought me some beer because I repaired his fucking computer.
