Speaking of things to add to the Tsukihime Remake wishlist, I'd love to get more flashback scenes and details about the Nanaya people. I guess that kind of thing wouldn't happen until the far side though. The writing in these scenes is pretty godly at least, so maybe I can dream that there will be some hints or something sprinkled in.

I hope the remake talks about his Nanaya past a little bit and more of his memories of Kiri. You know, keep the text entirely as it was, but use the Remake's sprites and backgrounds.
Probably won't have a lot of matching CGs (definitely none for sex scenes), but the sprites and backgrounds should easily match.

That said, people will read it anyway because nobody that really cares that much about translation quality stays an EOP. I think that for a lot of people, Mahoyo will be a forgettable visual novel, because in truth, it lacks the mainstream appeal that many other popular visual novels have. It doesn't have routes, no romance, barely any waifu bait appeal, not enough pointless action scenes, etc. I don't think Mahoyo will be hated, far from it, but it's going to be funny to see all those people who build false expectations for years because they saw Flat Snark vs Aoko on YT.

Mahoyo is a cool game that almost much doesn't even try to have mainstream appeal. Fun fact: some time into development Nasu realised he should probably put a moe character into the game, which is how Kojika came into being. She ended up having a pretty edgy personality anyway though.

This is my 3rd read and honestly my opinion hasn't really changed much. It holds up really well despite being a game with no budget and literally only 10 tracks in it. Tsukihime is a lot more memorable and most VNs for sure. There's no fluke there. As for the routes, I don't dislike the near side, but the far side is a lot better really. While I was reading Arc and Ciel's routes, I took it more slowly and paced myself out. It's not that they are bad routes or anything. There's a lot of good moments in them. Even the often disparaged Ciel's route is great when it fully diverges from Arc. But truly the best and most memory part of the story is the stuff about the Tohno family and Shiki. Once I got to Akiha's route, I basically couldn't put it down. My personal favorite route is still Hisui's. Like everyone always says, reading about Shiki just going batshit crazy in his bad is surprisingly amazing. I swear like half of that route is just the fucking bedroom CG but somehow it works out so well. Kohaku's route I also enjoy nearly as much. So I guess the ranking for the routes goes as Hisui > Kohaku > Akiha > Arc > Ciel. Akiha is still my personal favorite girl though. I could never say no to her.

I don't really remember the English anymore. It's been way too long. Out of the Type-Moon VNs Tsukihime (and Kagetsu Tohya by extension) is probably the easiest though so that sounds plausible. KT's translation is some horrid double T/L or something that makes Takajun look great so I guess Tsuki wins by default.

What's the opinion on Cokesakto's "translation" of Kara no Kyoukai around here?
Someone is trying to convince me to read it since apparently it's way better than KnK is originally (I've read it in Japanese already).

Li Shuwen (or some other Servant, I forget) wounds Hakuno's servant pretty badly.
They need a bunch of Mana, but Hakuno can't help. So instead, Rin offers to help with a Mana transfer.
You can even peek on them when they go to the infirmary room to do the deed.
The Sakura AI is even standing outside and giggling (foreshadowing for BB maybe?).

It's a pretty shit sequence. The Remake will apparently make it more personal with Hakuno and their Servant instead of having Rin cuck them.
