I do. Becoming a NEET was a mistake. The wage cage eventually starts looking pretty attractive. I'm sure every NEET feels the same deep down.

If wagies don't want to work anymore, maybe they should start an exchange program where neetdom could be traded for jobs. We get work and they get unemployment. Everyone wins.

Normies are stupid and work because of pressures. The point of working is to survive, but now you have to take the death vax to work. If you have to die anyway, die in comfy surrounded by waifu. Why work for a corpo that want you to die and contribute to a society that want to kill you.
Neet: Die in poverty and waifu
Wagies: Die from vax, in poverty trying to please your bosses that want to kill you.

It's good to have some disposable income on the side so you're not forced to ask your parents for pocket change though. A little translation gig there and there at your own pace, pays well enough to afford some food and water if you're frugal enough. Hell, I could even afford some onaholes and upgrades for my PC. But I can't imagine slaving your life away at some dusty office working for some uncle.

FedEx. Or Amazon. Yes, working from 1 till 9 loading packages from a conveyor belt into a truck can be soul deadening, and you will be rubbing elbows with some of the dregs of society, but with the right mindset it can be pretty fun. Picture it like the modern equivalent to being a seaman in the 1800s or a medieval laborer. It will give you an appreciation for money, and I think manual labor is character building. warehouse work and loading packages for shipping is absolutely awful never doing it again

worked at UPS
no amount of pretending to be "a seaman in the 1800s or a medieval laborer" (lol) can make it better

>> No.38202260

You are forced into a union right away at UPS and it didn't do squat for me except siphon off of my paycheck

they'll literally force you to the limit
my supervisors got bonus pay for the LESS time all the boxlifters underneath them worked, so even if your shift had more than enough time to do all the work, you better bet you'll have some retard breathing down your neck to get you to finish and clock out early.
slinging hundreds of pounds of boxes in record time WILL fuck up your back and unions heads will be jerking themselves off

this ignores the fact that they'll ask you to come in BEFORE your shift begins and then have the IT systems not start paying you until your shift officially starts, so you'll work an extra 30 before every shift FOR FREE. And yes I bitched out people about this after I finally discovered this crap after working for weeks with it happening beneath my nose and they were more than willing to "reimburse" me extra for the one week I found out about it this "accident" but the fact that people working here for YEARS would literally photograph their clock-in screen EVERYDAY showed me that I would have to fight for my own paycheck every fucking day I worked

all I'm trying to say is that you should fuck off trying to get NEETs here to load packages on a conveyor belt
literally do anything else before that, even be a linecook at fastfood

>> No.38202306

>>38202165
warehouse work, and a vast majority of physical labor as a whole, does nothing but destroy your body

You literally DO NOT have time for proper lifting form lifting boxes off a overstuffed conveyor belt, sticking them in a top back shelf of a truck in number order, and then missing the next round of boxes
and if you think you do, then you just haven't done it
Lifting is great and I would heavily recommended it to everyone here, but it should be done in a comfortable and controlled environment with proper weights

Exactly. It's one thing to train at your leisure with proper rest and hydration after each set, and working yourself to death to the point of full physical and mental exhaustion. Besides, translating your gains into functional strength isn't all that easy. You might be packing muscle after all those gym sessions, but you'll be gassed out in no time because you probably never did endurance training, which still has its limits and no one gives a shit if your back is breaking and your arms are about to fall off.

Lots of posts talking about the "plight" being having to find employment, but I think long-term NEET lifestyle is just as bad. It's easy when you're young, because you can bide your time with things, and still have lots of friends, but as you start to get older you begin falling out of touch with things, and even on the internet connecting with people becomes more difficult. Old friends move on, get lives, and the things you enjoy lose their charm when you do them every day for over a decade, you really have to balance yourself to not fall into an apathy/depression spiral because there's no one around to pick you up.

Part of the problem is that many NEETs pursue solely consumptive hobbies. With creative hobbies (drawing, music, etc.) you actually produce something and this helps a lot. Humans have an innate drive for production of some form.
On top of that, anyone with half a brain will soon grow bored of things like anime and video games, they're far too samey to hold your interest for long.

That goes for all hobbies, not just the consumptive, passive ones. Do anything minus the basics (eating, sleeping, shitting), and we grow tired of it after a certain threshold. This. You literally have to start constantly lying about your life to everyone past the age of 30. Everyone basically hates you and thinks you're subhuman when they learn that you got no wife, no girlfriend, no kids, not a "job appropriate for your age". You can try to avoid society as much as you want but you cannot avoid them completely. The "neurotypicals" can literally sense that you're not one of them instinctively. Every day I get out because I have to and go to a bus stop there's a 40% chance someone tries to rob me or scam me or goad me into giving them money just because they can sense weakness. Women look at me as if I was a rapist, kids look at me in horror. I really don't think it's possible for me to survive past the age of 40, I'm just waiting for my parents to die of old age so that I can kill myself, ideally somewhere outside where no one finds my body for months, maybe make it look like an accident. Wish I could just drive off a cliff on a "known accident spot" but I failed to get my driving license (it's easy mechanically for me but on exams I got always crushed by my social anxiety, because there was a new person sitting in the car, be it the police man or, worse, another student sitting in the back, if it was just me and my instructor I'd be okay, or if it was the same police instructor between exams I'd get used to him by the 3rd time but it's two new people every time). I'm just planning to go on vacation to Africa after the 'rona ends, that should be easy enough.

Blessing in disguise. I agree with the other anons, go for a grocery store chain. Warehouse work is shit. Grocery store will have you unload the truck sometimes (if you're an all purpose newbie as opposed to someone with a specific duty) but it's not an every day affair and you have other coworkers helping and they won't try and jew you about your efficiency unless you're especially bad for some reason. A lot of places let you pick the number of days you want if you're a part timer so it's an easy job to ease into and if you're able to NEET on zero dollars, you can graduate to a semi-hiki that helps his parents and has some pocket change for nice things sometimes. And if the boss sucks, not working out, etc. it's a part timer job. You can always walk away. If you're competent they won't want you to walk away so they'll try not to be total faggots.

I don't want to work again, I've only done agricultural jobs and fast food work so I can't imagine work.
I also don't want to go back into the school system, I just want to polish my Japanese and read manga. And maybe move to Japan and be happy.

How are you going to move to Japan with only 2 years living expenses?

>> No.38298762

I was a NEET but had to stop it in my late 20s. Now I'm back to being a NEET again for the time being until my money dries up. I enjoyed some parts of both but I think I enjoy just playing online tabletop with friends and going for walks late at night more than having to talk to the few [coworkers] who tried to be friendly to me every day.

There's no wrong way to live unless it makes you profoundly unhappy, but I think variety and some sort of goal is important even when I'm a NEET. Getting fresh air, etc. Becoming a wagie isn't that terrible but it's ultimately just a way to get money. I do like having a few years as a worker in the past just in case I need to talk to someone.

God I remember writing shit like this. I had CATASTROPHIC social anxiety meaning there's was next to no one I could relate to it with online. How you carry yourself is largely how people will treat you. If you have no self-respect or self-worth, people will pick it up and treat you accordingly. Yes, being ugly is living life on nightmare mode and even when you develop your self-worth you'll still have random women giving bitchface just for being ugly, but honestly, would you really want to be around with someone like that?

I know it seems impossible, but it isn't man, it's not. I empathize your driving test experience, but get that done and over with and you'll have the opportunity to snowball that success to something else, be it a job or finding a park you'll frequent. People will only become more disdainful over your socially ineptitude as you get older, because they expect everyone to have that shit sorted out at this point.

Then I decided that I either change something by the end of the year or commit suicide, I have noithing to lose.

I started learing IT skills every day by watching indian tutorials. In 6 months I had enough skills to make something, I was still uselesss trash but at least I've accomplished something. In another 9 months I made a small portfolio and got hired in office. The social anxiety was insane and I could not do anything, I ran away again in a week. In 3 months I found a remote job and it was super hard, I worked like 20 hours per day but I got my first payment.

8 years later. I make $100k in a 2nd world country, work 4 hours maximum per day, buy anything I want and do anything I want. I discovered /jp/ in my worst times but now I'm here to shitpost and for /ona/ thread. End of my diary.

Could be, but honestly I wouldn't bet on it unless they actually have a similar mentality to yourself in other aspects.
In the same way most people who drink aren't consumed by it, most people live in the moment without incorrigible physical or mental strain. They actually can just "cope" with others and societal demands in a way that most people in this thread do not. They genuinely cannot relate to your mentality, and if they feel it needs to be justified or have a "real" cause it will be hard to do anything but write it off as unreasonable.

Also most people probably don't give a fuck about your mentality unless they are directly affected by it in a persistent way, which your social avoidance does kind of ameliorate. "Mild dislike" is something most people experience and express without it intending to be visceral, and it quickly becomes disinterest after they're done interacting with you.

I just started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and fell off the train about 3 times at the start, one time getting caught between the train and some passing wall so that I was ground to death, so no thanks.

Soil comes in all sorts of colors! I could talk about dirt all day but I won't. I use a (horrifically expensive) Munsell soil color chart book to determine the precise color of dirt. What you're looking at there are sand-based layers, which have dried out and got lighter colors.
