So I think we all know that the sumaga fan translation has been stopped because Support JAST USA's official localizations of Nitro+ games! bullshit. But what is to stop us from getting it translated anyway?
Maybe this can be /jp/'s chance to become a useful board. I know there are tons of people on here that can decipher the moon runes. Why don't we try it out?

>> No.3902588

/jp/ is too busy doing nothing with their life to translate anything.

What? Pay attention, Jesus.

That's a horrible excuse. I know everybody wants to see this game finished and it wouldn't be too hard if we split the work among a bunch of people.

>> No.3902599

>sumaga fan translation has been stopped
No it has not. Christ, why you people even think this, it's still ongoing.

Current progress is at 67% or so.

Where at?
From what I've seen it seems like they gave all of their work to JAST and they won't be releasing patches until they are done. The page doesn't even show progress anymore.

>>3902600
No, the game is a horrible trainwreck, so bad that the writers basically gave up half-way to make it seem intentionally poor. Probably one of the worst newer N+ titles by far.

If JAST doesn't want to release Sumaga then TLWiki guys will just release it as a patch.

Good to hear. I just wish it didn't take this fucking long to do one game. A year for just 60%? Way too long.

>> No.3902678

>>3902670
Sumaga is long. Aren't you familiar with FSN project?

>> No.3902690

>>3902670
Take into account the length of the game. Durp.

>> No.3902717

<gckc> good example of how long it is that there's a playvid on Nico that's the first portion alone, and it's over 60 parts long
<%Chikan> how big is the script size
<gckc> no idea of the exact text amount but all the crap included it was 26 mb
<gckc> and the folder with the raw text translations is about 5 mb now
<%Then00bAvenger> Sumaga has to be at least 3 megabytes going by how long it took me to complete it >_>
<gckc> how long did it take you then?
<%Then00bAvenger> I think it bordered on 50 hours actually

Be patient, Anon.

>> No.3902782

I'll be patient. I rather want to play it.

TakaJun, god of eroge says this sucks badly, so I shall not bother waiting for it.

Not really, it looks like one of Nitro+'s more inferior titles.

Oh come on, look at this picture. Look at those girls. Two of them are big-tittied, the last one is flat-chested. Whatever happened to the middle ground?

It's not, I would say it's one of the strongest actually.
Of course it's no Muramasa or Hello, World either.

How should I know?
I think Takajun didn't like it or something.
It was very well received in Japan though.

Sumaga is good. Fighting against destiny is good.

>> No.3902973

>>3902951
I really liked Sumaga but it is the most unique of all their games(which is interesting because at first glance it looks the most generic) so there are bound to be people that don't like it. It has a pretty strange way of being awesome.

>> No.3902978

That is a very compelling description anon. Care to elaborate in a way that doesn't spoil it?

>> No.3902976

Wasn't it a favorite of 2chan or something?

Literally, as in with in the first 5 minutes, the main character dies, says "Fuck that," and then goes around trying to change the fate of the three girls in the OP image who are pretty much supposed to die fighting "aliens". MC dies a lot depending on the choices you make.
Hilarity ensues with eyebrow-dog god and loli-god.

The first route was translate completely and you should be able to find it if you dig around enough.

>> No.3902997

I should finish it sometime. Are things getting better after the first 3 routes?

>> No.3903000

>>3902978

You have to play it to get it. Basically there's quite a bunch of 4th wall breaking. Also failing and getting bad ends are required to progress with the story, since you play a guy that returns to earth everytime you die, with memories of all the previous fails.

>> No.3903009

>>3902867
>>Of course it's no Muramasa or Hello, World either
You'd have lots of trouble finding VNs better than Muramasa or Hello, World though so it doesn't say much.

Personally I wasn't a big fan of the humor in Sumaga but I kinda enjoyed it.

>> No.3903012

I think it's a game that you don't realize how good at was until you fully complete it. I personally thought it was kind of painful to play through at some points during the first 3 routes. But by the time I got through it all and looked back at it, I really appreciated what they were trying to do with the game.

>> No.3903053
