A few days ago, I had a dream where I was in a forest, riding a dosumarisa.

In honor of me remembering that yukkuri are a thing, I propose a comfy thread. No abyuse, just chill.

Man I used to be so obsessed with Yukkuris back in 2013-14
And it wasn't until recently that I had rediscovered them and man...
While 2013 me would say "WE NEED TO BRING BACK YUKKURIS"
I think they just are a thing that should stay unchanged in the depths of early 2010s Japanese Internet, even with all those abuse doujins around.

I know this maybe isn't appropriate to the thread's mood, but I need to vent about this.
I've known yukkuris for a while and always thought of them just as a meme. But until very recently I discovered OYP with all the abyuse and lore behind it and got obsessed with them, I genuinely enjoy watching them suffer and being tortured, I used to found incredibly disgusting seeing them peeing and shitting themselves, but I have read so many stories now that I got completely desensitized.
I'm seriously concerned about my mental health, there's no way feeling so much satisfaction from seeing fictional beings suffer is healthy.

Idk I was a teen with a lot of free time and an internet connection
But putting it that way, yeah there's really not much to it other than "the world of yukkuris" if you are such an autist, once you see the cuteness or the abuse of it, there's only so much that you can take in before it becomes too much.
Not to mention the fact Ohayous/Gyates seem to have turned into the same thing as yukkuris did, with some fanart, some haters, and the dinos.

It's the other way around for me, fluffies resemble too much real animals, so I feel great disgust seeing them being abused. On the other hand, yukkuris are completely fictional, so I don't find abyuse that gross, they're more like manju than real living beings.

The only yukkuri I've seen swimming is Nitori, the rest usually avoid water out of fear of drowing or getting melted. I think is a cute trait that sets her apart from the rest, like aquatic Marisa using her hat to float on water.

That's the point of yukkuri, every author has their own vision about them. Most works portray them as talking manjuu made out of bean paste though, so it's not as weird as it may sound.

So when I can't sleep, I like to come up with ideas for yukkuri stories. Here's what I came up with last night:

The adventures of a Detective Patchouli that solves yukkuri mysteries

A human village in Gensokyo that recruits a dosu to defend it and help it with difficult tasks like ploughing the fields and building new buildings. Having a yukkuri living among humans as an equal creates a bunch of wacky misunderstandings and odd situations.

A pet patchouli is obsessing over Mr Grimoire when its human asks if it has ever considered writing a book. Patchy's mind is blown, as Patchys tend to treat books as mysterious artifacts that appear out of nature, not as objects that can be created. The rest of the story is Patchy trying to write a story with its limited understanding of writing and narrative, but unique perspective on yukkuri life.

A short one-off about an anon who buys one of those Chinese quadcopter drones and uses it to let his kos actually fly in the sky.
