I just got done raising a survivability extender daughter I had with my evolved younger cat sister (Cat Princess). Also if their character quality is upgraded with awakening the child inherits that resulting in a weird looking name like {Daughter of {Cat Princess}}. You can now have actual children within a run now with survivability extenders, it's crazy.

I have a number of questions I've been unable to find clear answers to after spending a fair amount of time trudging through old forum posts and various guides. My apologies if these are dumb questions.

1. My stat potentials are awful despite having my pet cook every morning. I understand potions of potential are the easiest way of fixing this. I require a large amount of funds in order to be able to invest & purchase these. Is there a faster way of making money than running cargo? Alternatively, is there an early-mid game alternative to pots of potential I could chase after?

2. What are the odds of pets receiving new body parts through gene engineering? I've slapped at least 7 humans from the slave trader onto my fire dragon child, without him obtaining even a single body part.

3. How can I more accurately gauge the danger enemies form? Targeting an enemy and going off what the game tells you doesn't seem accurate at all, and more of a ball-park estimate that has proven to be wrong a couple of times in my experience.

4. Spare any advice as to finding potions of water & salt solution?

5. Will having multiple combat-capable pets hamper my main character's combat-related growths? If so, would you recommend soloing dungeons instead?

6. How do you deal with limited inventory space? I'm a bit of a hoarder and tend to keep several of every sort of potion, wand and scroll at hand. It seems inventory space caps out at around 12 pages. Do you simply rely on spells instead of consumables?

For money, I'm mostly doing quests (hunting mostly, birthday or food ones if I have the item or it's something super easy to get) and clearing Nefias and I'm swimming in gold. Stuff like scroll of oracle, unwanted debris and memory converters sell pretty well.

3. No real way but to memorise what enemies can do what. Considering only gives a level comparison which is trash.

4. Salt solution can be made with alchemy, and then distilled in the pot for fusion.

5. Technically yes, but largely irrelevant due to the potential system and travelling showering you with xp.

6. Drop your trash off at home. Potion racks and bookcases hold potions and scrolls/books. You can buy storehouses and extra floors for your home to drop your trash in, or use a static dungeon like the bandits' hideout in Vernis as a stash.

I’m still pretty new myself, but I’ll answer what I can. I’m playing E+CGX 2.15.
1. You can eventually craft potions of potential with alchemy. Always gather material spots, particularly pools (requires Fishing for higher levels) and vegetation (requires Gardening) for this, I think. I also use several pets, so I’ve engineered Fishing and Gardening onto them, and they gather the materials I need for pot potions when they defeat enemies, which I’ve found pretty efficient.
If you’d rather just buy them, though, listen to >>44049102. Eventually clearing Nefia becomes so profitable you won’t need to worry about money as long as you keep dungeoneering.
2. A donor needs to have more body parts of a particular type than a recipient in order to donate that type. So if your fdc has two hand slots, you would need to engineer it with a donor with three or more hand slots in order to give it another hand.
3. Experience is the only answer I’ve found for this.
4. I find both of these items decently often while dungeon crawling. Just keep an eye out and you’ll find some.
5. Probably something I should’ve asked myself before I went and caught every creature that I liked the look of…don’t know how my skills are compared to other players at my level, but I’m still stronger than my pets despite how much they’ve killed for me, so I think I’m ok. Make sure you get the Travelling skill ASAP if you don’t already have it.
6. I’m a hoarder too, so I have several storage houses where I stack my excess. I’m at my seventh at the moment, I think. 4D Pocket is also useful for this, though it requires some training to increase how much you can store in it.

There's a wiki forum post on it, shouldn't be too hard to find. Custom AI allows your pets to act far more intelligently than default. If you are familiar with Siralim Ultimate then its macros are a good analogue.

You're right, I checked the code and while spells work on a blacklist spacts work on a whitelist. Certain spacts can only be controlled via custom AI if they are innately possessed.

Unless you really want one of these, then it still boils down to innates and bitflags.

Problem with waiting is that I get shades instead and a bunch of random stuff like fire hound milk, probably from the shade's copy property. According to the wiki I'd get Jure fanatics, so I think I'll just Jure fanatic milk instead.

One thing I know that's restricted to a specific pet is Exile triple casting dart spells. I'm pretty sure the player can't learn any kind of special action like that to cast multiple spells in a turn, and I'm not really even aware of other pets that can do anything like that.

Long story short: you can't get more than 2 god pets. There is nowhere you can dump off pets and have them considered not in your party, store owner and ranch breeder still consider them present.

The ranch thing basically uses the fact that baby animals don't count as pets, but since it's a whole new monster each time you take one out you're not getting the same one back.

The same thing with monsterballs - even if they work on allies, they generate a fresh copy of the monster species.

There is no real way to bank your god pets and retrieve the same ones to get around the limit, so cure your pokemon catch them all disease.

So far in my wizard quest, a child has gotten publically intoxicated in the street, a well granted me a wish, I found batteries for laser weapons, a public performer in the forest peed themselves in the forest and screamed at me not to look at them, and the town wizard paid me 550 gp to obtain a 23cm rotted bomb fish from a townsperson. The wizard ate the bomb fish and died of food poisoning.

I don't know if NPCs respawn so I might have to get items identified elsewhere now, but this might be one of the greatest games of all time, up there with Morrowind.

I turned off because it adds nothing to the game and just another layer of tedious micromanagement. There's generally not any difference between drinking a potion and throwing it at yourself, except that drinking is more convenient and is prevented when you're "full". Controversely, the thirst mechanic is basically non-existent once you find a filtration bottle or a juice mixer, which aren't particulalry rare, and the whole pissing part is cringe as fuck.

You can keep a magaqua on and throw potions on yourself to circumvent most of the mechanical problems, but I keep it off in CGX tweaks because I don't want his retarded, intrusive fetishes like sock-sniffing, ear-cleaning and petrification/dollification in my game.

It's not difficult and the benefit is easy upkeep but I still find it annoying to constantly deal with. I don't mind the hunger system because that's way more in-depth from the inclusion of cooking to the stat min/maxing potential and even cute touches like your companions offering to make you breakfast if they like you enough. The thirst system is effectively just a gauge you have to pay attention to so you don't suffer penalties. I'll gladly give up the SP regen bonus even though it's easy as fuck to upkeep because I find the whole system shallow and tacked on.

I really don't know but it makes them wet which is a status even bosses aren't immune to, and cold does extra damage on wet targets.

While training her in the puppy cave hydro did somewhere around 200-600 damage and after she learned it cold did 1000-1300. its still in the puppy cave so she can't really execute the one-two combo because every monster dies.

Its etherwind so I'm staying in the cave and have her learn divine wisdom too, after that, speed, and maybe short teleport but i don't have any good experiences with that.

Depends on how people twist the rogue-like term. Imho Elona is already not a rogue-like, but I've seen isometric real-time action RPGs that people labelled as rogue-like so yeah. Elin is and isn't a rogue-like.

It's pretty dope. I tried the demo back in Jan and you can search some of the threads from back then to see people's reactions. The demo is just a framework, but it's promising.

I wouldn't expect much concrete info until Dec alpha release. Noa sometimes posts updates on what he's working on over reddit, Twitter or discord.
