Translation does take way longer, but when I translated a light novel I feel like i got exponentially better at Japanese. I had tried to read a book in JPN without translating a while ago and couldnt hack it, both because of a lack of vocab and because of trying too hard to perfectly translate the sentences as I went along. After I translated the light novel, I was able to go back and read the previous novel so much more smoothly!

And for this reason, Subhūti, all bodhisattvas and mahasattvas should give rise to purified minds in this fashion: they should not give rise to the mind while residing in form. They should not give rise to the mind while residing in sound, scent, touch, or thought-concepts. They should give rise to this mind with no place in which they reside whatsoever.
