It was nothing like a sequel to Sakuuta, it had a 3 heavily bloated chapters, one good one (which was supposed to be in Sakuuta in the first place), and one terrible chapter that had left an extremely bad aftertaste
Sakuuta felt like a huge journey where you went through the life one more time, Sakutoki felt completely empty without any purpose even though it has about the same length as Sakuuta
But if you don't care about Sakuuta in the first place and take it as a separate game and just enjoy the picture you will probably end up liking it (which is like 90% of egs voters who have read Sakuuta over 5 years ago and barely even remember what it was about)

Hey guys so I was poking around the files in the Kishin Houkou Demonbane, and I ended up going all in and patched the npk files so all of the 18+ content from the original is ported to the re-release. Of course, I added the H scenes back in, but I also added cut CGs, uncensored versions of CGs, uncensored versions of sprites, etc. There was additionally some text that was also cut out that was also added back in. It's just not Demonbane without the vivid descriptions of tentacle rape. The downside is that the re-release has higher resolution assets than the original, so I had to upscale the ported original assets to match. For the curious, this was all done using ArtCNN C4F32 and ffmpeg's libplacebo filter.

Upscaling the CGs was easy since it was just a straight 1.6 scale with no tricks. The sprites weren't quite as straightforward however. Nitroplus added some unknown extra amount of transparency to the x/y and also translated the sprites a bit to reach the final resolution of 1024 x 960 (for most of them). The original sprites aren't as uniform and vary a lot depending on the character, so I did my best to approximate the size by extending the transparency before upscaling and making sure that the final output looks roughly the same size as the censored sprite. This works fine, but it unavoidably causes the sprite to be translated in some direction when compared to the censored one. This is a problem because the all age version also has eye blinking and lip movement. So if the sprite shifts, the coordinates of the eye blinks/lip flaps are off. I went and attempted to correct those as well by visually inspecting the location of the coordinates of the original eye blink/lip flap on the censored sprite and trying to match it to the newly upscaled version. Anyways that long explanation was basically just to say that the eye movements and lip movements may possibly be off. From my limited testing, it seemed to mostly work well but I did encounter a couple of cases that needed additional adjustments because I could see pixels coming off the character's face. I replaced like 100+ sprites and obviously I didn't check them all in game yet since that would take forever so just an FYI.

Anyways, I would consider the current state of the patch to be essentially a beta. I haven't done much QA yet; that will happen as I play through the game where hopefully if I notice something wrong (script errors or whatever), I go back and fix it. Also the ported CGs from the original that aren't replacements (H CGs and such) need to be added to the CG Menu. I haven't looked into editing the menu yet or figuring out how that system works. That's for later. Adding a 回想 mode would also be a nice thing to do for later.

One additional note about the added H scenes. Sometimes they were simply just cut so it was a matter of filling in the blank. Other times, they added a replacement scene in the all ages version. Since I did not want to cut out any additional content, what I did was add a choice like in the picture. One choice takes you through the H versions of the events while the other takes you through the all ages version so you can have both.

tl;dr, just download this and I'll do my best to update/fix things later as I finally play through the game myself. You can also just complain in this thread since I lurk here all the time. Even if you find something wrong like 5 years later, I'll probably be around to fix it.

The original cg.npk is about 2.5 GB. With the additions I put in it, it went up to 2.77 GB. So that's quite a bit. I've only read the original version of demonbane but I honestly forgot how much raunchy stuff was in it. No wonder the re-release was censored so much. I had to replace all of Leica's sprites because they cut out the nipples for example. Nero was also censored to hell since in the original she has visible nipples in most of the CGs. Also pic related was censored, it's subtle and I almost missed it.

Pretty much all CGs are up on panda but OSTs aren't available anywhere, even though music files are the easiest thing to rip and least likely to be encrypted.
