Can you give a specific example of a part of a song you're having trouble with? There are 4 possible triples, and two are far more common than the others.
Assuming you are playing with a Dualshock 4, both of the common triples can done by having your right thumb press X+□, then your left thumb press either O or ∆.
It's also common to macro X+O to R1, and □+∆ to L1, leaving one only button left for either thumb for any triple.
When the triples are spread out in a large triangle shape, XO∆ is always displayed on the left side of the screen, and XO□ is always on the right.

Sorry if any of that advice is obvious. I'll keep an eye for good practice songs as I play, but maybe try Tell Your World for now. It's not too fast and just has a few triples towards the end you could practice on. Yellow is probably a decent song to practice for the various doubles as well.

same for words like "you". the default is [y u] which she pronounces like "yoo", but split into a very short [y i] followed by [u] gives a more natural "you".
another example is words that end in 't' or 'd'. miku tends to overpronounce the end consonants because of the way saki fujita recorded the voice bank, so it sounds unnatural when she goes [n o t]. instead i have her say [n o] [/], where the [/] cuts off the word like english speakers do more naturally
it's mostly just pronouncing words to myself and trying to get miku to imitate them by combining different sounds as opposed to using the unnatural defaults. you can get surprisingly good results like that. thanks for asking!

funny thing is im going through songs trying to find passages that seem impossible, but im noticing that alot of these tough passages actually wouldnt be that bad if i used the X+O and □+∆ macros. the only macros i use are the 4 note combos on L/R 2. i got into this game thinking "im not using other macros, im just gonna git gud" i see now that was the wrong approach.

the main problem im having is that over the years ive gotten comfortable playing songs on hard. i really only play the songs that i regularly listen to. hard charts tend to have less notes in them than the actual vocal tracks do so when i play these songs that ive listened to over and over, my fingers want to follow the vocal tracks because i know them so well. but i end up fucking up because there are less notes on the hard chart. Ievan polkka is a great example of this. the hard chart is missing an egregious number of beats and i know the vocal track so well that my fingers just follow the vocal track, but i miss notes because im playing notes that just arent on the chart. LUVORATORRRRRY has a very similar issue. when i slow down and play just the notes that are on the hard chart, its fucking boring. this is why i want to get into extreme and ex extreme but in alot of cases hard is too easy and boring but extreme is to hard. i know part of my skill issue comes from the fact that i have a pretty limited roster of songs that i actually play.

charts and difficulty are very inconsistent, im speaking mainly about charts in the vanilla game because i only recently got into custom songs. Romeo and Cinderella on hard matches the vocals and is a blast to play, but Ievan Polkka on hard does not match the vocals and is boring. there are more examples, but these 2 come to mind. hard doesnt do a great job of preparing you for extreme, at least not if you only play the same 15 songs like i do.

i feel like im rambling at this point. i just wish practice mode had an option to slow the song down

Yes I think this will help a lot. Looking at that screenshot, the only real advice I can give is notice that when doubles share a common note, they remain lined up like that. So for that sequence of notes, all you need to do is stick one thumb on square and let the other handle the one note that changes. Obviously easier said than done at first, but replaying ex charts in the 6-7 range will help a lot.
I can't speak to the modded charts, I've heard if you have score uploads turned on it'll affect your overall % on the leader board so I haven't played them myself.

Nothing wrong with using macros to lower the barrier of entry to Extreme. Even if you rely on macros at first, if you continue to play long-term you will come to recognize all the multi notes intuitively. And only being able to macro two of the six possible doubles will still force you to do many of the notes manually.

This is like giving yourself an unnecessary handicap. You want to play a variety of songs with various bpm, note speeds and pattern types.

It might not be a great solution, but you could always watch the charts played on YouTube, slow the video down and mimic the inputs with your controller disconnected.

That is a great chart for practicing alternating both hands. I often will alternate sides even if the chart doesn't call for it just to practice. The second half of Intense Voice on Hard might be good practice for that as well, but you might be past that point.

tl;dr: I'd go down the list starting with the 6* Extreme charts and play each song for 5-15 minutes, as long as the practice "feels good". See if you can get into the 7* charts, then revisit the earlier charts again. The goal would be to get to a place where you can alternate between improving scores on songs you're fairly confident on, and practicing songs that kick your ass. And be sure to get your 8 hours of sleep each night.

idk, I always found IA to have a very indistinct voice. I find of all of the popular 'loids she's the one I need to look up the most often if she's not named in the song title. Very few vocaloids other than the true classics end up being consistently popular longterm, you end up with a flash in the pan effect where a new software release or spontaneous popular song/animation will coincide with a spike in interest then return to mean. But most loids never even get the flash in the pan.

Even Gumi is kind of in a drought despite a recent SV release which honestly surprised me considering how obscenely popular Teto got over the past year and a half or so.

Typical morning is wake up, shake grog off, put tea or coffee on, do some burpees, gorilla rows, kettlebell squats and kettlebell halos. Between those four you hit basically every muscle group, whole routine is like 10-15 minutes. Drink tea, shower, shit, shave and I'm on the road around 5:30-5:40, commute is around 25-30 minutes but I work for the government so nobody gives a shit if you're less than 30 minutes late. Working early also means nobody else is even there to notice I'm late if I am.

Basically every habit, negative or positive, is about conditioning. You have to force yourself to do it for a long time until it's natural. I have been waking up at around this time since I was 6 or 7 years old.

those are just names of exercises. I do some other stuff too like leg lifts, pull ups and leg circles (hanging on a bar then you just move your lower body in a big circle, few clockwise, few counterclockwise). It's all a matter of what you're looking for. I hate exercising and just want to get it over with so I focus on a small number of compound exercises instead of going nuts on isolation. Getting deep down the bodybuilding rabbit hole is just a weird autistic hobby at a certain point and I'd rather devote that energy to listening to cartoon robot girls singing.

Sounds like you're just using a very stereotypical view of the average working person's life. I work late shift from home, 6pm-2am, sleep at 5am wake up at 1pm. the album was finished but never released. i can confirm it was at least partially finished because i talked to people who went to open air cinema (a live event he did, apparently not very good and not so well received because he just had a newborn when the event happened, people speculated this is the reason for his disappearance now) and they said whoo did show some MV that's supposed to be a part of the album, there's a sneak peek of one of the MV that you can watch on his twitter.
the plan was to release an MV for each week starting in January 2021 and then he'd drop the full album in March. this of course, never happened. not sure where you heard about a livestream but whoo planned to go radio silent after January 1st 2021 and the new year celebration livestream was the last one.
