That said I always thought the reason Jessica knew he was dead was because George called her to tell her he might die. In episode 4 as long as he dies in that duel with Gaap later he can kill people and move all the bodies around and make it look like a twilight murder. I don't think the first twilight actually happens until oct 5th.

Really, how would George know when to call her? How would George know precisely where she would be? How would George know what extension of a number to dial? Even with that, wouldn't Jessica mention that George called?

Now, think of it a bit more logically for a second.

George died in the garden. Jessica died on her way to her room. It makes much more sense that Jessica killed, or saw George killed, in the garden, then proceeded to her room. Hence why she knew he died instantly, either she blew his brains out, or saw that his brains were blown out. This theory is consistent with their movements and with the clues provided in the story. George calling Jessica is a bit too contrived.

Oh, and another interesting fact, Jessica is the one who sets things up at the very beginning of that whole debacle, with her on the phone. If George was the mastermind or involved in that episode, it would have been him talking to "Krauss", not Jessica.

I was reading Legend again recently, and something struck me as odd. After Maria had her fit before coming to the island, Kumasawa started talking about Beatrice, until Jessica abruptly cut her off with a rather serious face telling her that that was enough. Now, we all know that Jessica isn't the biggest fan of Maria, so why would she tell Kumasawa to shut up? Hardly to keep the peace. That scene is in the manga too, which only goes and proves that it may have some relevance, since Ryu himself said that the Legend manga was ideal for hints and the like.

Ange made a remark on how she didn't recall that line referring to anything related to the epitaph or Maria's diary. It was just her speculation, but there doesn't seem to be a connection between the two at all.

Also..how did Ange get a hold of Maria's diary? Did Maria leave it at her home or was it some how salvaged from the explosion? Ange said she secretly took it with her when collecting their belongings, but she didn't say from where.
