When they make the touhou anime, they are probably going to put Rinnosuke in it and add some sort of love-centered story around him just to appeal to girls who want to watch an anime with a hot guy in it.

I don't know which character Rinnosuke could be most like. I'm thinking Touma from Index, but Touma is pretty much a feel-good moralfag with bad luck, and I would think Rinnosuke would pretty much not give a shit about saving people and just want to be left alone. I guess he could be like a harem lead except not horny and desperate, and actually be intelligent and useful, providing commentary on the spellcards and powerlevels.

He could show up during battles and commentate.

Ran would be pretty cool too. Ran would know that her master is all over the only male in Gensokyo, but occasionally he comes over to their house to drop something off for Yukari. He plays around with Chen and Chen sees her like a father-figure, and Ran is like the single mother who knows she shouldn't be touching her master's man.

She could meet him at the door and act all coy and shy and flustered when he shows up, knowing that it is not her place to have him. She also realizes that Yukari is a burden for Rinnosuke and occasionally comments on it, leading to Yukari to listen in and get in her face confronting her about leaving her man alone.
